Overdose is celebrating it's 2nd birthday on 28th February and we're proud to be able to bring you the return of Daniele Davoli!!

Those of you that were there last time will know how good this house music legend is, and that's why we've asked him back on this special night.

With support from Overdose favourite and John Charles and Overdose founders and residents SpinMonkeys this is sure to be one hell of a night.

DANIELE DAVOLI

The name Daniele Davoli will, no doubt, be familiar to you. Maybe you cannot place it, but you will definitely have heard his music. Daniele was one of the pioneers of the Italian House sound and had major success with Black Box, who were responsible for one of the biggest dance tracks of all time, Ride On Time.

At one point Daniele had three tracks under three separate guises in the UK Top 10 in the same week with Black Box, Starlight ("Numero Uno") and Mixmaster ("Grand Piano")! No mean feat I'm sure you'll agree.

Born in northern Italy, Daniele started DJing at the infamous club Starlight in his hometown of Bologna. He first came to the UK on the back of the success of Black Box, who sold over five million records world-wide, and was soon honoured by being chosen as resident of the legendary, ground breaking club the Hacienda in Manchester.

He went on to become one of the biggest and most popular names on the UK club scene playing everywhere from Renaissance, Cream and Hard Times and so on, you name a place and he's been there.

Since 1995 Daniele is been playing in Ibiza where he has become one of the veterans of the island playing every summer at all the main clubs from Manumission and Pacha (being resident for Perfecto for 3 consecutive years) to Amnesia, Eden, Space and Es Paradis. Daniele was also the resident tour DJ on the Paul Oakenfold live tour in September through to December 2002 supporting his new album Bunkka taking in dates in Italy, Ireland, France, Greece, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Brazil.

The 2003 dates on the Heineken Thirst tour started in March taking in the rest of South America then back to Miami for the Winter Music Conference. The rest of 2003 saw him playing alongside Tiesto ,Pete Tong, Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez in South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, China, KL, Japan, the US and Europe.

In 2004 he has played 81 gigs in 35 countries! He also played alongside Oakie at Madonna's massive concert at the prestigious Slane Castle in Dublin in August 2004 an experience he will never forget!

Despite such a hectic schedule of worldwide gigs Daniele has made the time to get in the studio and concentrate on His latest production/writing collaboration with the band Y.O.B (www.youthofbritain.com) which brought them to support, the Prodigy live on their uk tour in December 2004,then being featured on MTV series A-Cut, and playing festivals through the summerCheck on the band website, videos and music Danieles musical talent and knowledge often gave him a connection with the movie and advertising industry. His songs and recordings have been used in several movies, TV programmes, adverts and major events including the opening of the American Bowl. Recently Daniele has acted as consultant and provided some of the music for the multi million dollar Warner Bros movie V-VENDETTA that was released in Spring 2006

Multitalented Daniele has now started his new residency for Rockdaworld(www.rockdaworld.co.uk) in London. Here you will hear him spinning a diverse mix including breaks, rock and electro tunes!!

So is Daniele Davoli your average Italian? Well if average means selling millions of records, DJing across the globe and being a regular feature in lifestyle and music magazines then yes !!
