Red Alert DJ Competition
Get set for Norwich’s biggest DJ competition to date at the amazing new venue that is Red Bar on Bedford street. This competition is open to any style of music under 135BPM and will be judge not only on technical ability and beat matching but will also look at self promotion, ability to work the crowd and above all passion and dedication.
The competition kicks off with Registration & Open Deck session on Friday the 7th of August and the heats will run throughout August and September until the winner is chosen. The prize fund is everything the aspiring DJ needs to get a successful carer off the ground from a residency a Red, essential clothing from Charge to professional DJ headphones and 50 free downloads from Beatsdigital.com to help build your collection.

How The Competition Works
If you are a DJ on Friday the 7th you need to get your Records & CD’s or laptop and head down to Red Bar register your name for the competition. We will run an open deck session so you all get a feel for the club plus get to meet the other participants and check out your competition.
We will then go away and draw up the heats on our website making sure that everyone gets a fair set time to allow people to demonstrate all their skills.
Then rounds will then take place with a points based system the will involve voting from both the crowd as well as a panel of judges so everyone can get involved and have there say.
The Rules
1, Judges decision is final.
2, Red bar reserve the right to admission.
3, Any music style is permitted providing it is not over 135 BPM.
4, We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time.
