The mighty Gatecrasher Classics is back in Nottingham to take over the city this Easter Bank Holiday Sunday

Headlining the event is BBC Radio 1’s King of Dance anthems, Dave Peace.

Dave is one of the most sought after djs in the UK with a weekly schedule Tony Blair would be proud of. Their isn’t much Dave Pearce hasn’t achieved within this industry – he started his own Radio show at the age of 16, Created BBC Radio 1’s first hip hop show, worked on BBC TV’s first ever dance show and was our resident to the award wining Gatecrasher Classics nights in Ibiza last year..

Another man which doesn’t really need an introduction is BOND.. SCOTT BOND. Say Scott Bond to anyone in the dance music industry and they will think of Gatecrasher! The signature Crasher sound was born in ‘93 when Scott became a resident of what became the biggest trance brand in the world “Gatecrasher”. Over the years they took the sound to China to Australia and all over the world and launched ground breaking events such as Lotherton Hall, Leeds and the sell out Millennium event at Don Valley Stadium. Not many people know the classics better, it’s a set not to be missed.

It’s good to be wanted but when your name is JFK you’re always top of peoples hit list and in the last 3 years JFK has risen to the top of just about everyone’s.
JFK has secured strong positions (no’s 85, 53 and 35) in DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ section for 3 years running and in Mixmag he was voted the country’s favourite resident DJ. JFK’s success as a producer and an entertaining DJ, have seen his services wanted worldwide with a list of over 12 countries employing his abilities to rock a crowd – and then some. In the UK his unique talent has caused him to be recognised by all major super clubs and festival organisers wanting him on their nights to inject a little of his special PASSION atmosphere in a way that only he can.

thats a bit harsh just blaming dave pearce for the demise of trance. it took a huge team of DJs and Producers to fuck trance up :)

people ran out of ideas. thats why they do classics nights at gatecrasher because all the new stuff is shit! (or not actually trance ;P)

I used to be ashamed to say i like trance at one point because ppl automatically think u like cheesy trance pap. Dave pearce may not be the sole reason trance went a bit down hill but he certainly helped it. If he ever plays at Gatecrasher one i doubt i will go again.

yes its all his fault. So its got nothing to do with producers running out of ideas releasing crap and doing hundreds of remixes of old tracks.
and by the way trance as always been commercial i dont know what your getting at dont u remember the 90's most classics got into the charts does it make people feel special thinking its underground or something crasher as a whole has gone abit cheesy blame the owner not dave pearce.

Its my opinion, not everyones! And trance was very popular back in 98-2000 hence why all the clubs used to play it! I love gatecrasher and have been into it for about 8 years now. I was dissapinted Dave was headlining the ibiza parties as it had the promise to be legendary. The clientel he attracts tho made me opt for armada at amnesia.

i think trance has really come back again over the past 6 months. tech-trance is the sound that is killing proper trance atm. yet everyone is embracing sander van doorn like some sort of trance god.

sander van doorn has done more damage to trance in a year than dave pearce has done in his whole djing life.

I like sander van doorn gregg haha, i think randy katanas bland crap has done the damage. Havent seen him dj yet but his productions (bar in silence) all sound the same. There is a lot of good trance around at the moment cant wait for pvd in may :)

i agree most of his stuff sounds the same, and wasn't particularly struck by his sound at crasher recently, but SvD has done far more damage IMO.

People love it though, just wish he didn't play at nights i went to. Its been far too long since I heard a Lange or Pulser set, who have done far more for the trance industry IMO.

Kudos to Off The Rails for getting Pulser on their line up this weekend. thought we'd seen the last of him behind some decks.
