Detonate indoor festival 2007 – Main Room

The line-up was big and didn’t disappoint one bit! A big round of applause is needed to all promoters, staff and artists at this event. The night was full of positive vibes and will go down in history as a classic Detonate event.

Was good to see some big hitters back in Nottingham, the likes of Goldie and Andy C are always a welcome site and they didn’t fail in their quest to get the crowd hyped! Scratch Perverts and MC Wrec started the night off with a heavy set laced with classics that got the main room banging. Was a shame about the problems with the queuing system with one out, one in, but was to be expected with such a line-up. The Valve Sound system lived up to expectations and as promised for the next few days I was left deaf in one ear with a slightly annoying ringing in the other. On a personal level I will differently wear the free earplugs next time the system comes rolling into town.

I must point out that the crowd were all on their best behaviour and I only noticed a few bad vibes due to a select few undesirables. I was camped out at the front all night and from the looks on everyone around me even at the end the promoters truly did pull off a classic night for all us.
