Fresh Meat....Yummy!
Fresh Meat....Yummy!

The driving Force of Magnetic is the undiscovered talent that’s being brought to the forefront of this event!

Daring to be different can be some what frustrating , when all you want to do is have a chance to play, while other events concentrate on big names to pull crowds but the fact is the music its self becomes stagnant .

Fresh meat is constantly need in to keep the Hard dance scene alive an kicking
Taking a leap of faith is the first step out of the bedroom an into club land lights!
Don’t be scared to play some new stuff!
Don’t be scared to push the boundaries!
An enjoy yourselves!

Believe in your dream, Coz we believe in you!!

Promoters are mostly into you giving them a buzz, sorting out some demos & then going down to support their nights. I started doing that a few years ago & it all took off from there, HOWEVER what I don't agree with is when people only put their mates on or people they know? I've played at clubs where that's happened & they actually emptied the club cuz they were AWFUL!!! Some of the greatest djs around needed a chance to prove themselves, someone gave them that chance & now look at 'em! There's some proper banging djs out there who I've heard & played against. It's all about what you're prepared to do, give up & what you want out of it. Do you want paying, a future, record deals etc or do you just want to forget those 3 things & just be in the limelight for a couple of hours. Dedication is what you need haha just keep plugging away & something will happen. If it doesn't happen in the clubs that you want then it's their loss

That would be my biggest bit of advise is to support the night

Go along check it out and show willing,
My biggest mistake was pumpin demo's out and waiting,

To me DJin is a passion an will never be more than that, Untill I am paid more than my weekly wage every week then it will always come 2nd to work but still love it with all my heart,

That sounded contradicting but u know what i meant

Your not wrong mate. I have had some lucky breaks with just sending out some of my demos but I have bugged the promoter a bit to get him to listen via emails & phone. I got residency at Sundissential in Notts while it was open with just a demo & a phone call, times have changed. If I had a club I'd make every dj do a 1/2hr set infront of me 1st then give them a booking. If they can show me what they can do then why not? It would give them a boost & some incentive

Exactly

Some promoters i know have come to see me or actually got in contact with previous bookins to check what they thought of me,
