Due to a serious incident that occurred elsewhere last weekend the police have applied to the licensing authority for an interim suspension of The Venue's licence, as it would appear that The Venue has been mentioned as a possible link.

After careful consideration, I have concluded that there is no alternative other than to cancel all future events and close The Venue permanently. At this time I am unable to disclose the exact reasons for my decision due to an ongoing police investigation, however I’m sure you can appreciate that this is not a decision that has been taken lightly.

I am very grateful for all the support from clubbers, promoters/DJ's and of course the very loyal past and present staff at The Venue. I will miss you all.
