Over the last couple of years, as their star has risen ever upwards, Hot Chip have been described as a bedroom Neptunes, a Ghetto-Kraftwerk and airy-fairy art pop. All these descriptions go some way to encapsulating their unique sound, and for anyone that has listened to their excellent recent 'DJ Kicks' compilation, a superb fusion of house, techno and electronica, you will know just how good these guys are behind the decks.
They recently closed the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury with an energy charged performance which saw the band cover New Order, and further live shows this summer, including at Lovebox and Creamfields, will showcase some of their new material.
Supporting Hot Chip we have up and coming local electronic live act, DOGSHOW. Dogshow are brothers Laurie and Sam Crombie on drum kit and analogue synthesisers... Armed with an array of custom made drumming machines, lights and the visual gabba ray, Dogshow play live dance music with a wonky twist. They take inspiration from DJs, the theatre and art to make there live shows a multi-sensory experience.
Don't miss out!
