OXJAM Monster Minifest on Friday in aid of Oxfam! Buds in please :)
On FRIDAY 11 APRIL the main room at the Academy is turning over for a monster miniature festival...

... and every tune and every bang on beat in aid of OXFAM!

The might of MEPHISTO GRANDE kick things off featuring the Oxford Community Choir. Ex-Suitable Case for Treatment aficionado Liam Ings-Reeves teams up with Phil Oakley and a Gospel Choir to bring some experimental psyche-rock with a twist to our Oxjam fun!

Followed by the ineffable BORDERVILLE - glamfolktronic rockers recently feted on the cover of Nightshift, with a new line up, new set and brand new outfits, these guys are rockin' all over!

Then leading into 100 BULLETS BACK - Oxford's synth-electro-rockers pump up the 4/4's with their own imitable electro-pop / post punk / dance crossover that's been destroying venues all over the shop!

All nicely capped off by SMILEX - The Oxford legends fronted by Lee Christian - recently compared to a transvestite Axl Rose - hurtle themselves onto the main stage with their fabulous and energetic live show. Having recently headlined the Truck Festival indoor all-dayer in January, expect a blinder from these Oxford dons!

-AND- DOGSHOW - Live and coming all the way from Liverpool for us to smash the Academy once again. Recently devastating Slide a few months back, this twosome from the 'Shire are making waves with their electro / techno live show that's leaving folk speechless...'nuff said!

And that's just getting the night started...

Taking over on DJ duty when the bands finish, we're turning over to the party rockin' all stars of the Oxford scene, SLIDE, SIMPLE, ECLECTRIC, FRESH OUT THE BOX and GET FUNKED through till 4am!!!

A humble FIVE POUNDS for an all-night party smashin' Friday night of dancefloor pressure... and all profits going to Oxford's favourite big green big-O fer Oxfam charity!

(CDs, records and party props and clobber available for sale on the night too!)

Tickets ON SALE NOW from the Academy box office or at TicketWeb or WeGotTickets
