We've secured a bit of a coup on March 9, as the legendary ANDREW WEATHERALL joins us for his Slide debut. Sign up for this event here

with PAUL WOOLFORD

With an approach and attitude that is slightly different to most, Paul Woolford has established himself as one of the most original DJ/producer/remixers that house music has exposed in recent times.

Paul's first visit to Dave Beer's infamous Back To Basics sealed his fate in many ways, and landing a residency there several years later was the culmination of a lot of hard work and a passion for taking an underground sound and twisting it in a way that few other DJs can.

More recently Wooly has become firmly established as the main resident at possibly the leading night at the world's leading club, Spcen Ibiza, anlast year's massive 'Erotic Discourse' has featured in the must-have list of just about every house DJ on the planet and he's undoubtedly set for great things throughout 2007 and beyond.

with the legendary ANDREW WEATHERALL

The term ‘legend’ is often misused in dance music, but in the case of Andrew Weatherall, it’s actually true. From his pioneering work with Primal Scream in the 80s, through his acclaimed Two Lone Swordsmen project with Keith Tenniswood, through to his continually packed out global DJ schedule, Andrew’s totally individual approach to techno, house, electro, rock, breakbeat and everything in between has established him, in the eyes of many, as the single most influential figure in UK underground dance music.

His revered sets can include everything from the latest German minimal 12 inch to some obscure 60’s Rockabilly, but one thing’s guaranteed – when Weatherall hits the decks, all hell breaks loose. Naturally, the Slide debut of ‘The Guv’nor’ is not to be missed.

Last time he played was one of the finest sets we've ever had at a Slide night!

He was impressive, I was watching him behind the decks in awe of his proper four channel mixing and use of samples.

I would like to be added to your distinguished list of geekdom.

I believe my ridiculous habit of pestering DJs with annoying "whats this tune, mate?" quips, more than qualifies me for the honour.

I think I was a librarian in a past life...

LOL...

Wish I could tonight mate, i've got a wedding do to attend.
But no fear, if you happen to be on the one's & two's @ Woolford's gig, I shall be sure to bring my notepad and spotter-specs!

...providing the dresscode permits anorak's.

Check out Slide resident and super-producer Lee Mortimer's 15 mini-mix on the Trophy Twins' show on Saturday night here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio1_aod.shtml?radio1/trophy_sun

Go to about 1.14 in to here the mix!

It showcases some of his own productions, including 'Snake Pit' and 'The Grill' from Slide's new record label, 'Wearhouse Music'.

Lee has been making a name for himself by supplying slick, funked-up jackin’ house to some of the leading house labels around, including Front Room, Carioca, .dotbleep and Greenhouse Records. He also remixed the massive 'Robot' by Audiojack last year, his remix being the choice of James Zabiela, Craig Richards and John Digweed among others.

With support of Lee's releases coming from the likes of Derrick Carter, Paul Woolford, Nic Fanciulli, Yousef, DJ Heather, Bushwacka! and more, his future is looking bright!

Catch Lee alongside Paul Woolford at Slide on Feb 9th...
