Has that minimalist ‘death by overdraft’ look about it, but is actually surprisingly reasonable. Thirst’s ‘Stupid Hour’ is cheapskates heaven, with cocktails at £2.35 between 5-8pm. Even after that when it changes to ‘Happy Hour’ we’re still only talking a not unfeasible £2.95 ‘til ten (take note, it's open til 1am if you still need to drink more).Excellent. Tuesday offers classic 60s and 70s cuts from resident DJ Dr Cheese and is good for a laugh. But no laughing at bouncer Jason. He’s a martial arts instructor and the author of a book on close quarter combat. We’re not allowed in? That’s fine, great, fantastic, no problem, anything you say sir.
