DIG DEEP WITH THE LITTLEMEN @ DISSIDENT
After a great 2nd birthday celebration DIG DEEP returns
to Dissident (24a Lincoln Road) on Saturday 16th August with a double header over 2 rooms to wet the appetite of all underground House Music lovers.
First up in the main room representing the East Midlands Deep house producers and DJ's THE LITTLEMEN touch down for their DigDeep debut.
The Littlemen are a duo from Nottingham, England. Both have been DJing on the UK free party scene, clubs and festivals since 1993, Steve as a part of the legendary Smokescreen SoundSystem and Gav as a member of the Giddy Fruit Collective. Whilst DJing at the same events they decided to put their heads together in the studio and around 1999, formed The Littlemen. Since then they have racked up over twenty strong releases and many remixes on respected labels such as Drop Music, Funky Piranha, Tango Recordings, Lowdown Music, Muzique Boutique, Amenti Music, Nightshift Recordings, Blockhead Recordings, Umma Recordings, Procreation Music and their own imprint, Mobile Trax, creating a reputation throughout the world for their deep, funky and contagious house music. As well as their production work together they have also released material independently, with members of Brown, To-ka Project, Inland Knights and Lo-Motion on labels such as Drop Music, Tilted Recordings, Viva Recordings, 20:20 Vision, DiY Discs, Myna Music and Aroma Recordings. 2008 begins with the release of the Takin Over EP on Amenti Music, followed in February by Forget Your Problems, a vocal track to be released on Mobile Trax. They have also been busy working on a number of remixes for labels including Uniform, Photo Records, Motion Music, Flavor Recordings & Chillin Music. The Littlemen continue to be heavily involved with Smokescreen and their local party scene, but you will also find them performing gigs in Asia, all over Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and beyond.
Second up representing the West Midlands comes a young up and coming DJ and promoter Patrick Cresswell. Patrick is causing a stir with in Birmingham with his Jackin House night "BUMPTY BUMPTY" which he resides at in Birmingham and is gracing the decks in Peterborough for the first time.

In room 2 THE PHONO BROTHERS keep the electro and breaks rolling along with Robbie (Garuba) Macmillan and The Audio Gourmets and support in the main room comes from DJ's Pat Unwin and Andy and Ian (SAFE & SOUND)
Admission on the night is £4 before 11.30 pm and £6 after and the doors are from 10pm to 4.30am
