As Funky Bunny returns to celebrate 5 Years In Cyberland @ The Park, Peterborough we head the line up with the Legend BK and his brand new Album Tour!

BK Presents ‘The Nu Wave’

Label: Riot Recordings Rel: Sept 1st 2008

After months of hard work, hard dance legend BK’s brand new album project BK Presents The Nu Wave is here at last! The album concept being that BK has brought together the brightest lights & talents emerging fast from the Hard Dance scene, artists that in Ben’s eyes are pushing the boundaries & bringing a fresh injection of exciting music & energy… they are The Nu Wave.

Five Times Winner of Best Producer at the annual Hard Dance Awards as well as winner of Best Hard Dance Producer at recent Beatport Awards, BK follows up last year’s excellent Under The Influence LP which saw the don of hard beats collaborate with some of the biggest players is his scene. With BK Presents The Nu Wave, this is thee album which represents the best of the flourishing 2008 scene.

Alongside BK is the cream of the crop- the most exciting new producers and DJs who are fast rising to the top of the scene, featuring Tidy Trax’s Head Of Music and resident Sam Townsend, Storm promoter Garbo, Polysexual promoter Mark H and Teknikal, alongside more established new comers Andy Whitby, Alex Kidd, Kutski, Cally Gage and Vinylgroover plus bonus tracks from long-time BK friend and collaborator Lisa Lashes and the good lord himself, BK, making this album an essential snapshot of the scene in 2008.

BK states: This album is all about the new - new DJs and new music by established DJs, it is a definitive look at who and what’s hot in hard dance in 2008… As a producer I wanted to push myself and capture the sound of each artists and add my own unique touch and as a DJ I wanted a collection of tracks that would work on a multitude of harder dancefloors from the ‘hardstyle’ parties in Holland to the sound of Frantic in London and everywhere in between.

BK Presents ‘The Nu Wave’ Track-By-Track and Who’s Done ‘Em Guide

01: BK & Sam Townsend ‘Alright’
To kick the album off BK teams up with one of the scenes’ key movers and shakers who is the man behind the scenes of the Harder Generation and Tidy events, Sam Townsend. Rapidly making a name for himself as a superstar DJ and producer, Sam has residencies at the legendary Sundissential, Parlez-vous? and Twist, being renowned for his tough yet funky style.

02: BK & Garbo ‘Damage’

He joins BK’s Nu Wave, collaborating on Fracture.

06: BK & Cally Gage ‘Get With This’

Now turning her hand to production, Cally has worked with the legendary Greg Brookman and now joins the king of Hard beats BK for Get With This.

11: BK & Alex Kidd ‘Poison’
Being crowned as Best DJ at The Hard Dance Awards for the last two years running and making it into the DJ Top 100, Alex Kidd is quickly becoming the successor for BK’s Hard Dance crown. Collaborating with BK on Poison, Alex truly deserves his Nu wave title.

12: BK & Lisa Lashes ‘Sleepless Nights’
Long term friend and collaborator, Lisa Lashes steps with BK to provide the grand finale of the album- Sleepless Nights. A legend in her own right, Lashes is famed for her releases, remixes and gruelling club tours, garner ing her title as one of the best hard dance DJs in the scene.
