Early this year Dance legends Lab 4 annouced they were disbanding after 12 years of gigs!!!!! Lab 4 play a live hard dance set on Computers, Keyboards & Synthesiers. Amazing to watch!! Well they had to play Plymouth one last time!! The venue for this farewell performance, the boys last in the Southwest, was The Warehouse C103!

After I got myself in, I said hello to a few mates then went to get a drink & some glowstix. When I broke the glowsticks open..... well they didn't glow very brightly!!! I took the piss & bitched about the glowstix for a while whilst listen to Alex aka Soundfixations set!! Alex played a good set. It was very trancey in places but he dropped a number of tunes that had me up and stomping away!!!

The club was starting to fill up but an over zealous automatic smoke machine made taking pictures a bit difficult!! I took a lot of pics of friends, also some of the Dancers!! 2 girls from Sirenz Dancers! I went to have a chat with Adam and Les who make up Lab 4!! I asked about their last Gig, that is in Coalville, and what they would be doing now? Both will be Djing! Both said they will be playing a variety of hard dance, hardtrance, etc etc but Les won't be playing Hardstyle and Adam wants to play Techno, tribally stuff tho!!! Will B and Deny carried on the party in the warehouse room! Deny's performance was full of energy just like his set!

The main room opened at 2:10 am!! Lab 4's equipment was all set up and waiting! Simon Pitt was warming up. As his set finished Lab 4 were introduced to the crowd! A cheer went up as the music started! The final hour of Lab 4 EVER in the Southwest was under way!!! The set was full of classics and a few new tune!! Adams and Les did the business like only they know how!! Adam was leaping about using the frame of the set up to reach closer to the crowd whilst Les went about setting off the next part of the tune! Each euphoric riff send the crowd's arms into the air!! Me included, Stomping away with my mates like a loon, in between taking pictures!! This was one well up for it crowd and the boys certainly reacted to that!! The atmosphere was awesome!

Lab 4 had everyone dancing all the way through their set on a packed dancefloor!! What better way to say farewell to 2 legends/pioneers of the dance scene!!! Lab 4 were different and the way they play thier sets live on Keyboards, Synths and Computers means it will take something special to fill the hole that these guys have left!! For me they will be missed!!! I went to say well done to Adam & Les after I did that I took some photos of them with my friends!!

Next up was a local female Dj called Madam Zu!! She played a techo set!! A vast majority of the crowd had left by now but the weary dancers that were left looked like they were enjoying it! Madam Zu was a lot more subdued during her set compared to Lab 4 but still played a hoofing set!!!

Wicked Night!! Awesome atmosphere!!! Amazing last set by Lab!! Great warm up sets by everyone!!!
