We said we launching Systematic we'd create the best club night in Plymouth of 2009. With Sytematic already making The Candy Store the new Plymothian home to Anne Savage, Lee Haslam, Amber D, Andy Whitby, Lisa Pin-Up, BK and Kidd Kaos we feel we're dfinitely on track to acheiving our goal.

With this in mind it gives us great pleasure to announce that ROB TISSERA will be the next BIG names to grace the decks at "Plymouth's Hottest New Dance Night" and will be joined by other top flight names in the industry including CALLY GAGE and MISS SPECIAL K both will be pumping out only the best HARD TRANCE and HARD HOUSE on Friday 8th May 2009 as well as our OUTSTANDING Residents!!!

*** ROB TISSERA ***
Rob Tissera is one of dance music’s most prolific stars. A top-selling producer and versatile DJ whose technical brilliance and effervescent sets have seen him pack out parties across the globe.

His track 'The Day Will Come' is widely considered a dance music classic featuring on many of the 'Best Of' Dance Music compilations throughout the years.

Tissera’s experience and ability to thrill audiences playing any genre is something only a handful of DJ can match. Famed for his hi-energy hard trance and hard house sets he’s also rocked audiences playing dirty funk, uplifting house or big room trance.

The master of the closing set, Rob is also often booked for his consistent abilty to keep the floor packed to this end and his effervescent personality.

Over the years he’s played every big party. He’s been a regular at Gatecrasher, Tidy Weekenders, Radio One, Galaxy, The Gallery, Tidy Weekenders, Frantic, Slinky, Ministry of Sound, Sundissential, Hacienda, Pam’s House, Hard House Academy, Union, Godskitchen, GoodGreef , Global Gathering, Gatecrasher Sound Systems, Euphoria, Creamfields and Homelands to name a few.

Rob is also regular in Ibiza and has held hard dance residencies at Tidy, Lashed, Sundissential Garlands and Tonic. He's graced the hallowed turntables of Radio One, not once, but twice - something only DJ elite ever get to do. The first time was with a converted Essential Mix and the second, a live mix from Radio One’s Weekend in Ibiza.

A forward thinking dj Rob is constantly embracing new technology in music. A world-class remixer Rob re-edits the majority of tunes he plays which gives the audience a unique musical experience. Such is his skill on the decks he mixes using three decks and two CDJs overlaying each song with accapellas and effects to add to the Tissera experience. His sets are really something to behold.

Apart from being a skilled DJ Rob is a world-class and top-selling music producer. In 2002 “The Day Will Come” produced under his pseudo name Quake with Ian Bland shot to number 30 in the UK charts. This led to three tracks being commissioned for the award winning soundtrack of the cult movie ‘Human Traffic Soundtrack”. Quake’s 1998 remix of York ‘The Awakening’ sold over a quarter of million copies and reached number 11 in the charts. And with tunes today getting to number one by selling less than 25 thousand this is some mile stone.

As a result he’s was asked to remix a string of high selling remixes for people such as Blank and Jones, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, ATB, Anne Savage, Armin Van Buurin and The Tidy Boys.

Rob has conquered the world USA, Australia, Czech Republic, Canada, Singapore, Ibiza, South Africa, New Zealand and will now rip it up at The Candy Store when he headlines Systematic on 8th May straight after...

*** CALLY GAGE ***
In just a short space of time, Cally Gage became one of the biggest names in the UK hard dance scene. She won the Tidy Summer Camp DJ Competition in July 2004 and since then has achieved more than most DJs achieve in a decade. The Crown Princess of Hard House is working her way to the very top...

Her invigorating blend of Hard House and Hard Trance combined with her cool and collected stage presence have earnt her a loyal and loving fanbase across the country and praise from some of the UK’s most popular club promotions. Her friendly and down to earth attitude also makes her the favourite of many promoters and clubbers alike.

As a Frantic resident, she always rocks the main room at the biggest hard dance events in the Capital, having already played at Heaven and The End this year. She will again be playing the main room at the 4500 capacity Brixton Academy Hard House Academy, and is of the artists chosen to mix the Frantic 2008 album, due to be released in the Autumn.

She also has regular high-profile slots at the UK’s biggest Hard Dance clubs, such as Storm, Pam’s House and Slammin’ Vinyl. Cally also shows her even harder side in her role as resident for Twist, London’s number one afterparty, playing filthy hard house and NRG. She has also received the support of the best of London’s smaller nights, such as Summit and Total Mayhem.

Cally has played the biggest of the big festivals with consistently good feedback – from Global Gathering & Escape Into The Park to Global Energy and Sanctuary she is comfortable on the largest stages in hard dance. Her faultless mixing skills and ability to adapt to any event have also led to her playing abroad. She made her Ibiza debut last summer, playing at the amazing Es Paradis for Tidy vs Extreme Euphoria. This year she will be jetting off to Lloret de Mar to play for HTID In The Sun, as well as having 3 dates for Advanced Tidy at Eden in Ibiza. She has recently stormed the Monday Bar Cruise for Polysexual – taking in the sights from Stockholm to Estonia.

One of Cally’s major attibutes is her ability to adapt not only to any size of event, but also to any venue, many different set times and several different styles of hard dance – from right through the spectrum of hard house and hard trance to being able to fit into a hardcore line up, Cally can do it all.

Cally has embarked on what promises to be an illustrious production career, having worked with the uber-talented Greg Brookman on the fantastic Remix EP for Masif Records (Steve Hill’s legendary imprint). Her tracks will reflect both the uplifting side to her sets as well as her no-nonsense filthy sets. This year has already seen her in the studio with BK making a track called “Get With This” – available on Riot! later this year and included on BK’s own album. Many more collaborations are lined up, including: Tom Parr, Kye Shand & Paul F, Greg Brookman and the Tidy DJs.

Her first commercially released mix CD came out in 2006 (Frantic 06) and was met with high praise from the hard dance community. She followed this with missing part of the Hard Dance Revolution album in 2007, and part of the Frantic 2008 album – due to be released in September.

With her full-on tune selection, impeccable mixing and sunny, crowd-pleasing personality, Cally can make any night her own – she is a certain crowd puller, and guaranteed to perform a brilliant set at The Candy Store on 8th May 2009!

And if that wasn't enough to get you going absolutely crazy on the dance floor... We are also thrilled to confirm that the "Hard Hitting" Miss Special K will be headlining room 2.

*** MISS SPECIAL K ***
Miss Special K, aka Karen has been rocking the dance scene across the country for the past 8 years, playing a variety of styles including hardcore, happy hardcore, old skool, hard house and donk / bounce.

It all started in the mid 90's when Karen and a group of friends hosted a pirate radio station which was broadcast across Torbay. At the age of just 13, Karen was very much into her dance music, having purchased many tape packs from events such as Helter Skelter and Dreamscape. She was heavily influenced by the likes of DJs such as Sy, Vibes and Dougal. Following numerous nights at the Monastery in Torquay, she decided to buy a set of decks and taught herself to mix whilst at uni studying to be a teacher. A year later (July 2002) Karen gained her first booking for Sectioned at Bar Latino and a residency with the Future Sound Crew (playing hard house at events across Devon).

In 2004 hardcore bounced back onto the scene, and Karen set up the night Totally 'Ardcore at Castros in Bristol and began mixing hardcore and old skool.

She soon became known, for her unique style of mixing and enjoyable performances. Since then she has gained bookings across the country at nights such as Fantazia, Fusion, Hard to the Core (Uproar), Obsessed, True Hardcore, History of Hardcore, Firewall, and Delirium. Karen has also had the pleasure of playing alongside all of the top DJs, and performing back to back sets with Vibes, Vinyl Junkie, Wink, Scar, Clodhopper, and will be pounding it out alongside the Systematic faithful in Room 2 on Friday 8th May 2009!
