Hi me and my friend came across a vid on somebody's my space of the dance academy. Living in folkestone ( kent ) we has never heard of it from the vid it looks fucking amazing!!!!

Was just wondering why it is closed and is it likely to open again??

it got shut cuz it got raided by the police but is still yet to go to court

keep your eyes open tho cuz if it does reopen then its DEFINITELY worth the trip - its an awesome place!

DA was and still is my fav club as im yet to find anywhere to top it. the venue was awsome and the people even better and the tunes!!!!

yeah there's a rumour atm that's it's been sold and is being re-opened in june!! haha!! chances of this place ever re-openin are virtually non existant, and it wouldn't be the same even if it did xx

ma i point out that the entire time i was there every week people asked if it was closin and the rumors .. blah blah now its openning blah blah .. funny old curse ov the academy .. wernt it good tho :) how many friends do you know now because of that place .. and hope is what dreams are made of

Amazing place and was glad to have gone there from 1998 to when it shut!

Wait for court case, best way no speculations. Im jsut thinking of those involved and hope the best outcome is met.

wish i knew who i do now back then, would make the whole experience so much better for me!!! i doubt it will ever open again as the building doesnt look structurely stable to open again!!
if it is does open it will need a shit lot of work doin to it!!

One of the lecturers at my college (deep blue sound) used to help Menoosh (or how ever you spell it ) run certain events at DA and reckons that even with all the red tape involved with re-opening the club theres also 1 million quids worth of stuctural repair work that needs to be done as the building has a giant crack running down the middle of it and several other problems.

Shame coz it was one of my all time favourite clubs
