I would like to take a moment to introduce you to Kiss My Bass. It has been in the making for quite some time now and is nearly ready to be unleashed upon you fortunate souls. Kiss My Bass aims to be the loudest, dirtiest and hottest night in Portsmouth, backed up with a repository of mixes from its residents, guests from other local nights and then guests of increasing profile. The emphasis is on bassline driven breaks, electro, glitch and whatever else that is guaranteed to destroy the dance floor. We are hoping for a good summer as plans are already underway for some special outside free parties for the Kiss My Bass regulars - more details about that a bit closer to the time. To be sure to get the heaviest and dirtiest tunage played as it should sound we will be taking a beefy setup, The Pirate Sound System, with us everywhere we go.

Kiss My Bass is the brainchild of Fotza, a producer/DJ in Portsmouth with a fondness for circus adventure and heavy, groovy, and sometimes downright offensive music. Local lad Udy, of UYN and Waster fame, is also a resident and co-ordinating the web effort. Possibly the most recognised DJ on the local scene, the award winning Aimz, is also on board and, last but by no means least is Dave Stevens, a newcomer to the circuit known for his choice selection.

As if a top monthly night was not enough to satisfy your needs, we will also be launching Kiss My Bass online. From the official site, which is almost ready to go live, you can expect some quality media to keep you going throughout the month… up to date and past mixes from the resident DJs, photos of the club nights and the latest in filthy tracks and bootlegs from Fotza and Udy. And that is just for starters - we have a ton of ideas in the pipeline. Work has already started on the art direction (our official logo will be up on here towards the end of the month… we are just being impatient) and theme plus the site is ready to podcast so you can subscribe to the site straight through iTunes (other podcast software is available) and get our mixes without lifting one of those hairy fucking fingers of yours.
