Reverb&Custard is back for yet another exciting instalment of slamming beats and huge basslines on Saturday 6th June 2009 at The Fawcett Inn, Southsea. Reverb&Custard have firmly been established by YOU, the party people and are now proudly recognised through-out Portsmouth's breakbeat industry and many of London's finest breaks Dj’s. They are here to guarantee you shake and wiggle. To make you smile and to make you 'scream' After Reverb&Custard’s past successful events and seeing you all seriously rock the dance floor, they are proud to announce for June’s edition the return to Portsmouth Paul Bassrock. Paul Bassrock is head honcho of Bassrock Records, which is one of the UK's finest underground Breakbeat labels 'and' has been a founder member since 2004. Paul’s releases earned BassRock Records the 'Best Breakthrough Label' nomination from the highly recognised Breakspoll awards. Paul’s Dj'ing skills with-in the breaks sounds earnt him residencies at places such as Club Ice, the Opera House and the Brunel Rooms. He has also had appearances on Kiss Fm plus his own weekly show on Breaks Fm It is a pleasure to have Paul play for us for whom he will be playing a set of Bass Heavy Breaks drizzled with Dubstep rhythms all tied up with an oldskool flava. This certain style will surely make you destroy the dancefloor. Joining Paul BassRock and making an appearance will be our local talented hero known as The Philosipha. The Philosipha is a very talented DJ who grew up in the rave tape culture back in the early nineties hence why Scott aka Philosipha loves to party and everyone around him are all touched by his magical ability to get the crowd moving. The Philosipha has undoubtedly with-out question, grown his talent, his style 'and' his fan base over many years. He has played to tough crowds and tough venues at local Free Decks Nights, but this never stopped him as like many determined dj's, he knew it was all just a learning curve. This amongst many other venues and gigs pushed Scott into the art and sounds of the dance floor and made him bigger and more talented every time he played. The Philosipha will be creating his very own funky beats. Breaks and Electro with an extra added philosipha style phatt B line!! Also gracing the decks is yet another fine member in our scene DJ ANTIKS Antiks has been dj'ing his quality, recognised choons since 1998. He has been a fine member in our clubbing industry for over 20yrs. His highest passion is to create an atmosphere for the dance scene. Antiks Progresses more in-depth detail as he wishes to give back what he as a clubber has been given.....the outstanding feeling of great, achievable sounds! Antiks is known by many Portsmouth and London underground people. Leigh aka DJ Antiks has played a various amount of styles, ranging from hard house to psy trance. Gabba to techno and of course breaks! Antiks is delighted to take you all through a journey of some real old style breaks. Added to this will enter pleeps and glitches, and then leading into the more heavy basslines. This will be cranking up the darker side of things to keep it gritty!! The Sidekick mc is a regular on the south coast scene with residencies at Tribal Medicine, Overload, Infectious and 21st Century Dubclash. He can be found lurking in many a local venue bubbling along to many a sound from electro to jungle...and everywhere inbetween! The ethos of the Sidekick mc is that the MUSIC takes the spotlight, with the occasional vocal interjection keeping things running smoothly... So after simmering gently on a low heat since Apri, l REVERB&CUSATRD turn up the heat for JUNE 6th. You are gonna need 2 pairs of oven mits for this baby!!
