Sinistry IV : Interview 1 - Jester catches up with Ann Tsoulli

Nu-Breed DJs Ann Tsoulli and Tom Cusden talk to Jester ahead of Sinistry04!

With only 1 week left to go until SinistryIV:The Neon Party, we've decided to give you two interviews for the price of one! First up, it's D-Railed resident and NRG mistress Ann Tsoulli!

Jester - Hi Ann, thanks for taking the time to talk to us! Tell us a little bit about yourself and your style of Djing.

Ann - Hey! Well, where do I start? I'm 24, I live in a little town called lymington in the New Forest and when I'm not Djing you will probably see me out & about stomping away to some of my favourite dj's and during the week I'm usually sat in my boring 9 to 5 office job :( (Hopefully one day I will become a millionairess and never have to lift a finger again.lol)

I would best describe my style of djing as hard/fast mixing with big base swaps & lots of cutting and chopping! I play mainly filthy hard house/nrg (the harder and filther the betta! 160bpm all the way!!!). I have also recently been getting into my tech trance.

Jester - What got you started with Djing?

Ann - Well I have always been a clubber and was out most weekends partying hard! I always used to watch Dj's mixing and had a real passion for hard house. I started collecting my favourite hard house tunes on vinyl in hope that one day I would be able to afford my own decks. Eventually I did get a nice pair of Technic 1210's and then moved onto cdjs and spent many hours mixing and here we are now :)

Jester - Who are your influences?

Ann - There are too many but I would say my biggest influences are Justin Bourne and Paul Glazby.

Jester - Who are your favourite DJs/Producers?

Ann - My favourite DJ's would have to be Paul Glazby, Rodi Style, Justin Bourne & Lucy Fur, just to name a few.

My favourite producers would have to be Paul Janes, Riggsy, Deffecive Audio and Tom Parr.

Jester - What's been your best moment as a DJ?

Ann - Probably becoming D-Railed resident & playing all of their events and warming up for Rob Tissera at Planet Slinky.

Jester - If you could pick any DJ, who would you like to go b2b with?

Ann - Well if I could get Justin Bourne out of retirement then it would have to be him. If not then any of the big names in hard house would do :)

Jester - What are your plans for 2009?

Ann - I hope to get in the studio this year and make some phat filth tunes and apart from that no real big plans but I have got quite a few gigs coming up.

Jester - What have you got in store for the Sinners at SinistryIV?

Ann - FILTH, FILTH AND MORE FILTH!!!!!!
