Ok this is getting boring now..

"The crowd isn't feeling this track so let's take thing's up"

"Hard-deep-house track" (DJ Koze - "I Want to sleep" pitched up to 150bpm):

It's sounds alright actually

P.S. James, I wouldn't call the original "deep house" but let's not get into a whole new argument now...

No becase richie hawtin would never play anything at 150bpm. The maximum he goes to is about 131/132 on a good day..

I do always try to be constructive, because if someone wants my opinion, especially when it is a friend asking, then I want to give an opinion which will help. Far too many people just give platitudes to people, when actually they are looking for ways to improve what they are doing.

I generally find your views constructive James and your honest opinions but to say that you heard Adam play hard trance at a night in Mango beggars belief.

I relied on you for your musical knowledge in your postings but I now have concerns that this may not be the case :-(

I said almost like hard trance! I accept though that sometimes I do tend to go a tiny bit of the top with my emphasis on some things, and perhaps I should just have said that I thought the tempo was too pitched up for what I was expecting on a Gifted night. However I don't think I am wrong in the trance idea, as if you listen to Adam's mix, there are elements that I would associate with trance.

And back to the original point of Adam's post. I have listened to your mix and it is well constructed and has a good flow. However, to me it seems like a meeting of deep house and trance, neither are genres that interest or excite me at the moment so I wouldn't listen to it again.

Though further to that, you are more intelligent than I am, and maybe you are just too far in front of what is going to happen in dance music. After all, trance has had a few resurgences in popularity, in 1992, 1998 and 2004 so maybe it is due a new resurgence, so you might well be onto something.

But I'm afraid that it wasn't something that I wanted to listen to at this point in life. I hope I have been constructive!

I don't want you or anyone to start doubting my musical integrity so I recommend this track that I rediscovered today.

the current prog house sound encapsulates many trancey sounds right now.
The deep house sound is going pretty strong too.
