Sonny Wharton Opens The 1st Planet Slinky Tour of 2009

Never was a statement truer then when DJ Mag declared, “What makes Sonny stand out from the pack is his combination of talent and determination”. An innovator and workaholic Sonny has developed and honed his deck wizardry across 3 CDJs leading to industry leaders Ecler and Ortofon signing him to lead their UK Pro Team.

Spotted by Renaissance and installed as their resident Sonny has racked up slots at Amnesia, Ministry Of Sound, Pacha, Godskitchen and Chibuku, rocked numerous clubs and festivals internationally in Australia, Brazil, China, Mexico, Morocco, Ibiza, Russia, Spain & USA, held down a monthly residency in Barcelona, been weekly resident for the infamous Manumission in Ibiza and played to over 1 million people at The Love Parade in Berlin...

Alongside Sonny Wharton we have Slinky's longest standing current resident Dav Gomrass.

Having been a weekly regular at Slinky since day one (1997) Dav finally got his dream break when he won his residency in 2002. Since then he's played at The Opera House, Turnmills, The Emporium, SEOne, Bristol's Carling Academy, Slammin' Vinyl's Sanctuary Festival & landed on the same line ups as Paul van Dyk, Mauro Picotto, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell and Above & Beyond. The list goes on.........

Dav's style is Tough - Energetic Trance with a touch of Tech thrown in to spice it up that little extra. With his tune selection being influenced by names such as John Askew, John O’Callaghan, Paul van Dyk, Sander van Doorn & Ferry Corsten.

Dav has smashed dance floors wherever he has played. He has a strong presence behind the decks & shows that he is truely in love with the music & sound that he plays.

If you haven’t yet experienced a Dav Gomrass set then it is well advised by Slinky regulars that you catch him ASAP! You will not be disappointed.
