Henley Regatta was first held in 1839 and has been held annually ever since, except during the two World Wars. Originally staged by the Mayor and people BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!

Basically there’s a load of rowing going on and you walk up and down the river checking out and talking to all the talent passing by! Drinking all day and night is a must and smart dress is recommended

There are lots of bars/booze tents along the river and the most action is down by the Barn Bar!

Ra Ra drinks (Champagne, Brandy or 9999 of you and one of me, I think that’s Pimms o'clock!) are readily available.

Also you will find the odd "taster" bars where they hand out FREE Booze, usually Archers along with Malibu and a cheap brand of Gin.
