is it any good?
Surely if it's by the same people who brought SOS to us then in my opinion it coul dbe the biggest pile of shite going, just like the hell hole that is source of sound in Tonbridge, please correct me if i am wrong on this occasion.

God it's amazing to see so many people with such strong opions, when we all want the same, i'm a promoter (and yes i know so says everyone) except i actually do promote events and have done for other 10 years both in the UK/ HK and the USA.

I am returning for a stint in East Grinstead (yeah i know i'm not happy about it either) but as i am returning i plan to put on a few nights around the area and might start looking at TW. Having worked with a lot of the international dj's and as a freelance event manager for the Ministry of Sound i am sure i can bring something with a whole lot of class to the area and a great vibe for the summer. Check out the events we did in the USA in March over 25 events in 1 month based out of the world famous Caesars Casino resort.

Hopefully some of you might be up for getting in touch so we can start a group to move this idea forward instead of working against each other, so we can have a great laugh over the summer, i think it's time for a few illegal raves don't you.

i'd pay good money to see you try and make that happen round here. however, if you need a hand then i'm on board.

You will get little or no interest in this unless it's a commercially minded night. folk in twells are not open minded enough in general to go for something out of the ordinary and probably not legal.

Though, like CD, I'm keen to help... as long as you don't play funky house. Have you got a website to check out these nights you put on? I don't believe you.

i'm sorry...what? coco lounge stinks as a venue. its small, it smells and its full of chavs every single weekend. i suppose you could say you get guaranteed front seats to some sort of fight and the police are almost always sitting outside in a meat wagon pre empting such an event, however i don't think this is reason enough to put a decent night in there. house music deserves better than to be played in coco lounge.

it's really not worth getting upset about.

Go to Turnmills, fuck these twats off.

who's getting upset? i think people need to make educated decisions on where they're going to hold parties and some people seem to be under the illusion that coco lounge is actually....(pains me to even put them in the same sentence) good. but its true. by the by, boat parties on the thames...19th august, has to be done.

Friendly bouncers???? They are the worst i've come accross!!! The two times we have been to the Indie night in two years someone has been kicked out (when i say kick i literally mean kick as they are unable to allow someone to walk out without trying to break their arms) then abuse someone else by assaulting them for attempting to help the person being forced out! The DJ is a cock who has no idea about indie music, blatently has never heard of things called NME or XFM, just Radio1. When you ask for a song he says "this is Tunbridge Wells, what do you expect" Errm, well i expect not to be assaulted and a DJ who actually knows about what he claims to! After trying it again after a year absence, we correctly predicted the songs he was going to play, because bar a couple obvious new ones, they were identical!!!! The barmaid is very helpful tho, looking after our bag as the cloak room was not open! Avoid it like the plague!! Go to maidstone!

Well hello there, Ms Dreaming. It's a scorcher out there. How are you on this fine day?

Just to let you know, I'll be @ DC10 in Ibiza this time in 3 weeks.

To furrylamp: People will continue to go through lack of choice. TWells is far too middle class and closed minded to let anything other than a binge drinking hotspot develop(there is some irony here). They tried (or even manged to??) stop Craig David playing amid claims it would be akin to a 'rock concert'. I mean.. Craig bloody David. Anyhow, I've moved away now so I feel sorry for you poor things.

It's like I was saying in the "SOS" topic, what we need is a clubbing revolution round here. I mean, the scene round here's proper dry from what I've seen, and there's a few of us up for something different, so, gotta be done...illegal raves anyone?

i'm up for that although they keep shutting down watering holes and replacing them with resturants, as if people in this town aren't fat enough!

the indie night was actually better when it was at source of sound, maybe because of the 70p drinks or maybe they had another DJ who wasnt a dick. we are going to try the loft or river bar in maidstone soon, further to go and someone has to drive but it may be worth it.

erm, right. personally, i rate the music at the loft but don't go in the summer because the boss hasn't worked out what air con is yet and it gets to the point where the walls are sweating - grim. i've never been to the river bar because i don't really understand the point in going all that way unless its for a specific night. its quicker and a lot more painless to hop on a train to london.

2 weeks until i'm on the white isle again. mmm

I wouldn't risk the loft this time of year either. and as for the river bar, if hed kandi floats your boat then fine. i can't deal with that commercial shite however.

i love moaning.
