2 minutes walk from the main line station - this is where you get the best live shows in tunbridge wells. whether you like hip hop, dnb, grunge, rock, reggae or even comedy you'll always get a good night.
it's got a really good 'gig vibe' it's quite an underground venue and there's plenty of room to mosh if that's what ya like! but with hip hop and dnb it just feels... right!
i've seen so many people there... of course defcon nights have been running for 7 years bringing true uk flava to sunny tunny! they have bought us task force, skinnyman (&the mud fam), dark circle, tommy evans, jehst, terra firma, rodney p, mr thing, blood 1, blade, manage, asaviour, foreign beggars, hard livin and many, many more.
on the dnb tip we've had the man like nicky blackmarket, skiba, shabba, kenny ken and more...
there are a lot of pubs/bars very close by and tunbridge wells itself is a really nice town. there's a quite a lot of idiots but you get that everywhere and they don't generally go to the forum, they're in some divvy mincer place somewhere!
it's always good fun, the staff are friendly, drinks are reasonably priced and not out of date like a certain 'club' in t.wells - you know who you are (d) - and sometimes they push out the 11pm curfew and carry the party on!
close enough to everything and just far enough out of the town centre, this has got to be my favourite venue. it's got history, it's got soul and it's got a good set up. sounds and lighting usually done by jay, he knows his stuff!
