CREAMFIELDS ’08 RECEIVES FANTASTIC FEEDBACK AS FANS RUSH FOR 2009 EARLY BIRD TICKETS!

Creamfields innovative 10th anniversary festival brought an incredible 2 days of entertainment to the North-West countryside this weekend generating fantastic feedback as the world’s best dance festival promoters paved the way for the next decade of dance music festivals.
Introducing camping for the first time, 85% of revellers snapped up the chance to stay over and the brand new boutique campsites proved a success as they completely sold out with the festival attracting 35,000 to the show on Saturday and 30,000 on Sunday.

Kasabian’s highly anticipated headline set on Sunday night saw the band fuse rock and dance like never before, kicking off with a cover of dance anthem ‘Your Love’ and leading a field of 15,000 revellers in a singalong to their hit ‘Cutt Off’ for an unforgettable Creamfields moment.

Fatboy Slim rocked the fields on Saturday night with his headline set on the main stage, playing a mix of house and big-beat techno as glow sticks waved far into the distance and the crowd swirled in mass appreciation for one of the world’s greatest superstar DJ’s. Another much talked about highlight was the legendary Chic who went down a storm getting everyone in the mood for disco as the sunshone throughout their performance.

Other storming sets came from Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk to name just a few iconic beat masters who took to the decks on the main arenas. Ian Brown played in North West superclub Chibuku’s arena, and has already been receiving rave reviews nationwide for his diverse material.
The hospitality arena was another popular hang-out this weekend with award winning restaurant Puschka providing quality food with top DJ’s lining up to take to the decks.

James Barton, Cream Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are really happy with the success of the festival this weekend. There were some delays getting customers into the campsite early on Saturday morning, but this was soon sorted out. We’ve had a really good festival, with a fantastic line up of acts and great audience which has made this our 10th Anniversary very special. And wed like to thank everyone who came to the show.”

Creamfields introduced more live bands then ever this year, and this diversity reached out to festival goers but the dance acts were as popular as ever, filling the 10,000 capacity Cream arena along with others like Ape, Tidy, Annie Mac, Bugged Out and Chibuku every night with a genre of dance music to suit every euphoric reveller.

Crime was at an all time low with only 7 reported incidents of theft from the campsite, with customers taking advantage of the Lockerbox service onsite. Creamfields festival-goers are described as one of the happiest festival crowds on earth and this year was no exception, roll on 2009!

Following the success of this years 2 day camping festival, Creamfields will return as a 2 day camping festival in 2009. Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 29th August, and also allow customers to pay in 2 installments.

just an observation thats all, did u guys all get AAA passes with back stage/vip access i suppose so it makes it a better experience ;-)

We had press passes and some of us had pit passes, but we get that at most of the festivals we cover so it doesn't really sway us more to this festival than any other.

Also, most people who went to Creamfields probably haven't seen this thread yet. It was started by a prospotter, who probbaly invited buddies. Those buddies will include other pros, admin and their friends, and so this thread is more likely to include people who had freebies until others get invited in too.

good stuff sam, did any of u get any pix in the artist area ? they have free messages and even a fake tan machine! mad huh & was most impressed! lol

it was a great day out - did u guys camp as well ?

The main reason I opted for a hotel over the camping was security more than anything else. When you have 1000's pounds worth of kit with you, it helps you to sleep easy at night.

Yeah most of us came from london area, it was a long journey, but definitley worth while.

they have those lockerboxer thingy tho but i guess it's better to be 110% safe than sorry eh makes perfect sense to me and heard some stories where people stuff got taken from tents, go boutique camping is the way forward :-)

I did the journey there on my own after work Friday. I left London at 5:30pm. Came back Monday leaving Liverpool at about 11:00am. It took me $:15 mins on the way up and about 3:30 mins on the way back. I avoided the M40 on the way up cos a friend told me it was very busy. Slightly longer, but for the main, I kept moving rather than being stuck in traffic on a motorway.
