Loved Pendulum, Chic and the whole of Sunday night in the big tent, Tiesto was excellent, but hell....what a nasty corporate event.

It seems that Creamfields was about extracting as much cash as possible and offering the worst possible experience for the visitors.
On the way in... 3 hours to get through the search barrier into the campsite.
Security didn't know what they were doing, the stewards were unhelpful and surly.
Overall the search thing was way over to top. I saw some young girls being violently pushed into the fence and searched - ok, I understand the need to scare the dealers, but a bit too heavy handed?

Inside the camp site it was the usual s**t in a tray food merchants, not like The Big Chill, Womad or even Glastonbury.
Admittedly the quality of acts was very good and the Cream tent was really well done, but seriously, Creamfields promoters, you need to think about the overall experience. Would a shower block have been too much trouble for £115 a head??? Oh, and if you are stopping people getting back to their cars, maybe a better choice of outside catering too? The noodle bar in the main arena was the worst food I have had since I was at school.

Yeah, between the loo's and the bus, you had to go through security to get tehre. The loo's and the VIP tent were really cool!

It was really nice in there actually. Sofa's, bar, DJ, outdoor seating as well as indoor. It had little plants about the place and everything. Was a very nice area.

They had porter loo's in VIP. The big cabin ones. I only went in there once but they were clean when I did. Did you get a lanyard? there was a map on it I think.

To be fair, when you were at the BBC bus, you had to go through a sectioned off bit before coming into another section. There was a big green partitioning hiding the entrance. I was led there before it started so had the insider info on it. I most likely would have missed it otherwise too. ;o)

Next year I'm going to do it again for sure, I am musically a hard head but for the atmosphere and the camping Creamfields was quality.

The fair was unreal, absolutely massive! The foreign markets by far had the best food on. The paella was delish and the kangaroo burgers were a rare treat. We got some food off the burger vans in the campsite, it was not the best like but knowing there was nice food in the event made it better. I think it is clear the toilets in the campsite were horrid, but again knowing there were toilets in the event made it easier to stomach. Drinks were quite surprising aswel, after being to a small festival last week and getting ripped off for drinks I was expecting the worst but I was happy with the prices.

I think for next year either emptying the toilets or more of them in the campsite would be ideal. A shower block would be good but I'm lazy and probably wouldn't go anyway lol, I'd me muddy again as soon as I got out so what is the point! Maybe an extra day of camping the day before to avoid the massive queues would be an idea, I myself arrived late and maybe if everyone had such a long time to get there everyone wouldn't come at the same time. It would also make it feel like there was real value for money aswel.

I'm going to try out the tangerine fields next year, I like the sound of not having to drag your tent about and can imagine there being a bit more space between you and the next person.

But I loved it, I had a really good time and just enjoyed the whole weekend Thanks creamfields :)

I think the idea of allowing people to turn up to set up camp the night before is a good one. Although the event didn't start till 2pm, so there really should have been plenty of time to get set up before going in.

I cheated and went to a hotel anyway. lol

I felt really safe all weekend which I think is a good thing especially as there were a few wankers kicking about, I had nothing to hide so wasn't afraid of the police etc. The only people who complain about too much security generally have things to hide!

I personally didn't see any trouble at all. I did hear of a couple of isolated incidents though. But for Liverpool, very little indeed. I think the gate security did a good job of keeping any trouble from even getting in.

The 2 that stick in my mind are I had just got up and was brushing my hair outside the tent and seen a group of boys (scousers) walk up to a group of tents that had a gazebo set up they said nice one we will have that gazebo, the girls in the tents shouted oi what you doing they said this is ours now with an attitude of pure chav scum. I think the girls just left it though because it looked like there was a massive gropu of them where they dumped the gazebo.

Another one is when we were walking back to the campsite there was a group of about 20 lads and lasses (scousers) just generally being arseholes, shouting abuse at overweight people, getting mud on their wellies and flicking it at people and when we walked past the sloppy mud they were kicking it at everyone, one lad dared to tell them to piss off and he nearly got lynched by all 20 of them, thats the problem, when theres 20 of them what can you.

But I am used to arseholes and find ignoring them is the best thing and they get bored.

on the sunday I didnt wear my wellies and just had pumps and knee socks on cos it was sunny and got pitted but I didn't care, I was in the goodgreef tent when Ferry was on proper giving it rock all in this massive mud puddle near the door, I had to throw all my stuff away hahaha.
