Its nice to see some big names being brought over to the Island at a decent sized arena also, however it never fails to grate me the fact that when people do do this sort of thing they show no respect for the Local Talent and getting some Local Names in there to boot. ah well such as life heh!!

iv just got from being on holiday for a month,& have just seen this,
come on u guys from the island,stop moaning & support these guys,its hard enuf making a night work,
as i remember myself (when i was a club promoter)from when i did fusion @ zanies,when carl cox played,
seriously,whats the big deal about not playing at this event,why dont u guys supprt them,help them with ur knowledge,& get this night to be a great night with loads of people there,get to no the promoters,then ask can u play sometime,
it does not work,that u live on iow,that u get to play,u gota show these guys u can play,send ur demos in,& all stop moaning,these are top dj's not just ur ordinary club dj's,
its all i hear,oh theres nothing to go out for on the iow,well guys u have it hear coming,a good night with a good line up,@ a decent ticket price,
so get all ur friends together all go out,have a wicked night,so they can bring us more good nights,& more good dj's...

i already no that quite a few people across the island didnt no anyfing about this night till i told them,there def has not been enuf flyers put out in the correct places,

i no of a few ways left that could bring in extra people..even at this late date....shame i was on holiday for the last month.as id have got this whole island covered in flyers..its only from experience that i no the little secrets to this.....
as for the chavs they ruin everything.....
lets hope judge jules plays a set like on the radio..or it will empty the place out if he plays some weird stuff...

Really Really want this event to work and I will defo be there. Got to admit i have been in the same situation as you, I have been telling everyone i know over the last wk or so about this event and knowone has heard anything about it. I went to 2 different clubs over the wk end and was amazed that there where no flyers being rammed down ma throat as I left the doors. like you said about the iow being a bit behind there is prob about a group of 200 proper clubbers over here that make the effort to go to Slinky, SE1, Global, etc the rest of the people that class themselves as clubbers will be found rammed in Chick Rock dancing there hearts out to ABBA & QUEEN why o why is beond me. Really got to admit and really hope im wrong unless there are some serious promos going on this wk chick rock & bogeys will draw more of a croud. Just to point out last time Jules was at Balcony prob got a show of 200 people and lashes at Northwood house prob about 200 people. So that just proves that the people wont just flock to this event just because of the line up, spec as most of the iow havnt even heard of the queen of DJs Lisa lashes (x x ) please please please get promoting cos i really want to have a stonking night

errr i never like to say anything negative but, NO!! Last time Lashes was at Northwood house it was promoted by me and it was branded a Crasher event and I had a turn out of just under 1000 so either you were not there or you should take a trip to spec savers!!

why all the negitive vibes? its ment to be a party for fuck sake. what is wrong with everyone!! All we got on the island is the balcony and bogyes so why moan when someone tries to give us something to do as there is very little to do on the island.

All these guys want to do is put on a night so we can all go out and have a bit of fun!! Being a promoter its very hard to enjoy yourself at your own events as there is so much to do so I will be there to show my support and to get wrecked!!

Alot of hard work goes into putting on events never mind the amount of money that is at risk and all the headaces like this thread for 1. as well as the grey hair, local police and council sticking the ore in and the long list of guest list blaggers (u no who u r! but i love u)

There is no special licence to put on your own night just stop talking about it and do it is the golden rule!! (the other rule is to book me, lol)

Remember if you cant say something positive then dont say nothing at all.
To all the people involved in the event I hope it goes well for you and if you want to have a chat then look out for the wasted ginger one having a night off!!

oh and as far a 1 day dance event records on the island, that title is held by myself and my old lover DJ Omar as we had 1650 people at out first slinky event in 03 opening Cowes Week, so there is the amount to beat.

Trust me i wasnt having a moan just trying to put a rocket up the arse of someone i got my ticket and i will defo be there and i really want the night to work out cos i am bored as fuck spending my fri sat nights at Rock & Bogeys. Fingers really crossed. Well must have been at a different night at Northwood house from the 1 your talkijg about Ricky cos where i was standing there was defo only a couple of hundred people there for lashes and even with that many people the decks where jumping when people danced to close to the DJ box i spoke to Lisa afterwoods and all she wanted to do was get in her speed boat that was waiting and get to Slinky to play to some people that would appriciate it.

About that Crasher event - I reckon your both a little off with your figures (200 and 1000), it must have been somewhere in between. But there was more than 200 inbred chav twats kicking shit out each other all night by the bar LMAO!
