PsychoticRavers's review of Fusion, Phase 3

After the anticipation from Stage 2, Fusion once again got the mammoth of hardcore back to Club-Ice once again for a night of pure raving. Did they suceed? Well, read on and you can decide for yourself!

After arriving at the Club-Ice complex once again, i found myself waiting in a small que of people who have just arrived awaiting that signal that they are allowed in.
Within 5 minutes of standing there, the que quickly began to build up and i found myself making sure i was where i was originally so i didn't lose the spot.

It began to drizzle, but noone seemed to be to worried about that... why would they be? Fusion, Phase 3 was just about open itself once again to a crowd of up for it ravers to stomp the place down, Fusion style!
After a few more minutes, the doors opened and you could hear the pounding bass from a top qaulity hardcore tune and the crowd started to cheer. They knew what time it was, as did the Turbulence!

On entering the doors, i was welcomed by Jon Brown who quickly give me the red band to allow the rush of ravers through the doors at a quick, steady pace.
Once in, i just looked straight to the Dj Booth and then to the dancefloor. It had only been open 3 minutes, and already there were people on the dancefloor! Now that's how it's done!
Turning around, i was greeted by some strange looking man... oh, sorry. It was MC Knighty (Sorry mate, lol.) and already peoples legs were beginning to move to the sound.
I knew this was going to be big, and i think everyone else knew, and the Fusion crew knew that all that hard work was paying off, bit by bit as the doors were flooding with ravers, the dancefloor filling up and people generally jumping about wherever they were.

This was Fusion, Phase 3... and it had only just begun.

I went to the bar to get myself a pint, which i took behind the DJ Booth area to have a little chat with Xom from Project Bosh. He was already loving it fucking hardcore style! Oh yes! Those bosh guys eh? :).

I couldn't stay in the same place once, so i had to check out the other rooms. Into the 'Frantic' room i went... and what a sound i heard once i entered. On the decks was Paul Dee pumping out some of the best Hard Trance/Dance around and again, the dancefloor already had people stomping away. A quick hello to the guy and i headed around for another look.
This time i entered the 'Electrik' room. To be fair, i can't remember who was playing when i went in, but did it matter to much? Of course it didn't. The sounds were blaring, the ravers were raving... that's what mattered!
Each room was filling up slowly, and i knew the faces that Jon, Rus and Jeff must of had must of been just that little grin, knowing Fusion, Phase 3 was not long to go into full force. It was going well, very well... were we into more?

Oh fucking yes!

Back into the main room, where i went back near the stage to say hello to some more people. This time taking a few photo's.
Again, i was in the couldn't stay still mode, so i was off once again having a wonder. This time, it was only to the cloakroom to hand in my jacket. Off it came, revealing my hi-vis jacket. I had a few stares, but what the hell? I was at Fusion, Phase 3... i was hardcore and i wore what the hell i wanted to. Did anyone mind? Of course not. It was the start of a Fusion experience.

9:30 and the dancefloor is filling up nicely. People were beginning to pour through the doors faster and faster. It was beginning to come quite difficult to find anyone, by looking over the crowd... but that's not a bad thing. It's proof that this was going to go off big time.

By 11:00 it was beginning to become very busy and i was still wondering about here and there chatting to people, checking out the different styles of music and taking photo's.
Dj's were beginning to come in and get their selves a drink.

Time went on, and the place was pumping out the music 100%, not stopping.
The RaverBaby Crew arrived, people were coming up to them for photo's, etc. Who wouldn't?
Bit by bit the place began to get very busy.

Mainstage, Darren Styles. The sounds of pure Raverbaby flowed throughout the main room as the ravers went absalutely fucking crazy on the dancefloor. All you go to do is look at the grin on Styles face, and it tells you blatently, he was happy, the crowd was happy and he was fucking loving it!

Wondering about again, this time i enter the 'Depth Charge' room for some Old Skool tunage! Did i like it? Of course i did. Had a bit of a stomp in there, then headed off again to check out the other rooms.

Rus Turbulence and Jason Chance blasting out the tunes in the 'Frantic' room. The crowd, once again was just going insane to it. I was loving it, they were loving it, everyone was loving it.
It wasn't long before the the legendary sounds of Lisa Pinup, Cally Gage were pumping out their style! The ravers were in their moment of ecstacy. This was their sound, their scene... and they didn't want it to end.

As ever the beautifull Lisa Pinup was energetic, extravagent and loving the crowd as they were there to show she was there, for a reason! Oh yes! Frantic was the place for the Hard Dance lovers!

So, after many wonders around again, i find myself (again) in the main room. This time i was there for quite a bit. On entering, i could see MC Storm on the microphone once again blasting out this lyrical genius to the Fusion Ravers. He was doing his job, and he was doing it well.

Up after, it was the Whizzkid. As usual, he done his job perfect as the ravers jumped to the sounds of the dj and the mc! it was going well, and it could only get better. Did it? Well what the fuck do you think? ;).

There was one set i didn't want to miss, and it was the set to be done by Project Bosh. I said last time, after missing it (sorry guys, lol) that i'd not miss it. So i didn't.

Xom the mxing master, alongside Optimus Prime the scratching maniac, accompanied by MC Whizzkid!

WOW! WOW! AND ANOTHER WOW!

They truely showed the dancefloor that they were the Fusion residents, and they were not messing about... they were serious... they were hardcore and oh my days, they were amazing! That's how it's done!

On through the night and the dancefloor was still going insanely mental. The ravers didn't want to stop. They wanted more... more and more!

Time went on and the sounds of Hixxy, Dougal, Gammer, Sunset Regime, Lisa Pinup, Cally Gage, Hardcore Paradise crew, Marc Smith & Gammer had been.

It was the last hour.

This was the time for all the serious ravers to not leave the dancefloor, but to remain. This was the time for anyone who'd not been on the dancefloor to get theirselves on it now.

They did!

The sounds of Unknown accompanied by MC Storm showed Fusion what the last hour is like! It blew everyone away. Storm was full of energy and going for it mental, just how we like it. Unknown was blasting out those anthems like there was no tomorow.

I found myself, for the last tune, on stage with Jon Brown and some others........ hands in the air. Shouting out Fusion... loving it 100% as the crowd cheered as MC Storm finished the night off.

Fusion, Phase 3 was over.
A journey with an extra experience i doubt anyone will be forgetting to quickly.

This was the Fusion, Phase 3 experience. And we fucking loved it!

Bring on Fusion, Sector 4. ;).
