Below started because the promoters Lee McDonald, Adam Shelton and Ross T were fed up of travelling out of town to listen to the music they liked thus Below was born.
It started off in the basement of a boozer and since then has found it's home at The Rainbow where they do monthly daytime parties from 3tillmidnight. Below also do sporadic parties in non commercial spaces. These have included Thai restaurants, Car Parks, Disused warehouses, used warehouses, a Vintage Clothes Shop, a 70's club, cellars, a vegetarian restaurant, drained pools and a strip club.
Guests have included Ivan Smagghe, Matthias Tanzmann, Dinky, Clive Henry, Jamie Jones (see www.myspace.com/belowdaytime)
Below has been featured in IDJ magazine, DJ magazine, Radio One and more recently was called "The most important underground club in the uk" by Mixmag.
