Wow! What a launch at our new venue!
Pressure @ DQ’s Late Bar, Sheffield
26th January 2006 - The Birthday Special!

DJ’s: Adam White & Marc West, with residents Marc Naylor, Ste Hirst and Paul Pearson

The New Venue! The clubbers are excited as the promised night of the highest standard is introduced and tonight promises to be the pinnacle of a years hard work for the previously Rotherham based night Pressure

Vj Steve G is already hard at work as the Bar begins to fill. Already the night promises to deliver, as resident Mark Naylor drops "Tronso - Bass on the side". The deep and dark prog fills the room and the atmosphere starts to build. Pounding beats and synths are accompanied by the maniacal visuals on show by Steve G, this bar is advertised as a visual bar and with good reason as the 7 huge screens and projectors around the bar show off perfectly steve’s twisted visions. The crowd is dissipating with nervous energy and all eyes’s or on the DJ box to see who would be next. Ste Hirst takes to the decks with a ripple of applause from the pressure regulars who know mark has played well.

Next up is the second of our residents Ste Hirst playing a more melodic progressive set than usual he really seems to know what the crowd is waiting for and delivering it earlier than most would have guessed.
Pounding out good euphoric trance earlier on, it seems to have paid off as the early tensions start to break.
The club seems to be gaining weight as more and more people are moving to the sound of the music, resulting in some comedy break-dancing, from a pressure regular which helps to break the ice even further.

As Paul Pearson, our third resident, approaches he knows what he must do to warm up for our next DJ. The crowd are willing Paul to play well expecting more of what Ste finished with. It was a surprise then when Paul dropped a monster of an opening track deep pounding bass line more akin to a tech trance set builder than to a prog set. The crowd reacted magnificently and the room was jumping, the busiest I had ever seen DQ'S. There was more promised though and everyone who I talked to was waiting for marc west, Passion resident and all round excellent DJ.

As the music started to slow and fade Paul Pearson announced Marc West to the crowd. The cheer that went up was deafening and the night had really started as everyone in the bar started to dance. Marc West delivered a tight set playing some well known tracks to a educated audience. Everyone was feeling the effects of the cheap drinks and was partying hard. More and more people started to come to the main dance floor showing there appreciation of a good set with there feet. The bar itself was heaving a good turnout for the Rotherham lads.

Adam White played a "blinder" delivering a rawness that was missing all night from the progressive style that had dominated so far. Dropping personal favourite "TDR - Squelch (Sander van Dorn remix)" It was the moment most had been waiting for, as half the bar raced to the main dance floor. The music was good all night but this was something else as Adam dropped “Madonna’s - What it feels like for a girl" with the vocals to "Know one on Earth" dropped over the top, further expressing himself as an excellent DJ.

A exciting new venue and an excellent following and this night could go all the way, already going a year the guys obviously know what there doing

GOOD LUCK PRESSURE
