BUG @ DQ featuring:
Kid Blue (Technique / Fat!)
Alan Chapman (Urban Gorilla)

"Kid Blue never fails to impress. As is the case with all the best DJs, he's able to draw on a real range of genres, but unlike many DJs out there he knows exactly how to construct the right set for the right time of night." Elite Force

Wohoo! We’re welcoming back an old friend this week to make his long-overdue BUG debut. Many of the Urban Gorilla heads amongst you will remember KID BLUE as part of Leeds’ TECHNIQUE crew, who’ve come and rocked the UG floor on numerous occasions as part of our ace (and rather messy) night swaps.

He’s a resident at the country’s longest running breaks night, Chew the Fat! at THE END, London and at Technique over the past five years he’s played alongside some of the biggest DJs in the world – Derrick May, Richie Hawtin, Adam Freeland , Miss Kittin , Plump DJs , Ricardo Villalobos , Freq Nasty , James Lavelle and Dave Clarke. The Kid’s ability to hold his own alongside all of these world-class DJs proves his talent as a DJ who’s genre-defying sets can tear up any dancefloor.

KID BLUE’s tough techy house and breaks productions, released on both Meat Katie’s LOT49 and the awesome FAT! labels have received a thrashing from the likes of Hybrid, James Zabiela and Laurent Garnier!

Most recently he has remixed 'The Ride' by Digitalis, 'Stop The Revolution' by Meat Katie & D Ramirez and completed another of his own productions, 'Crunch' for Passenger Records (home of AQUASKY and dutch breakbeat/dnb dons NOISIA). Yep, the Kid’s far from work-shy in the studio and behind the decks he really knows how to let rip. Tonight we’re giving him centre stage, so prepare your ears for an audio onslaught!
