Well flippin heck I think I’ve only just recovered from the pure unadulterated awesomeness of our relaunch at Plug last month! Everything from the DJs to the crowd, the club and beyond were fan-frickin-tastic, and the best thing about it all is that we get to do it again this month too!

And this time we’re gonna get a little bit scary cos this is UG’s Halloween bash! Expect a few tricks and a helluva lot of treats, not least from our guest DJs…

Mr. C is a straight up legend in British dance music. Co-owner of The End alongside his mucka Layo (of L&B!) fame, he’s helped fuel the strong London clubbing scene for years with countless ridiculously good parties. His own night at The End, ‘Superfreq’ has now moved next door to AKA where it’s still going strong, as is the label of the same name which specializes in twisted- electric house, minimal tech & acid house from Mr C himself as well as the likes of Adultnapper and Bushwacka! He’s also taken the Superfreq brand to Ibiza and established a successful residency at the world famous DC10.

All this before we even mention how he paved the way for the likes of The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx and Chemical Brothers as part of The Shamen, dance music’s first chart smashers. He’s even got an Ivor Novello kickin about for his songwriting prowess! He’s killed it every time he’s visited Sheffield and this will be no different - a real crowd pleaser!

Anyone who caught Scarlett Etienne's awesome UG debut at the Fez Club last year will know exactly why we're so excited to have her back. A supremely talented DJ with a passion for deep and dirty house & techno, Scarlett has built up a pretty awesome reputation in the relatively short time she's been on the scene. Her multi-national, and highly musical past takes in starting out as a singer-songwriter in Canada aged 15, discovering house via Tenaglia and Vasquez at the legendary Twilo in NYC, and Djing residencies in Italy, Ibiza, New York, and most spectacularly of all...um, Leeds. She's also making an impact with her productions, both solo and as part of the “Loose Lips” collective with fellow scene-stormers, Audiofly.

With the UG residents and more doubtless legendary afterparty shenanigans on hand to wrap things up, this looks set to be a superfreq-y, smooth and filthy chapter in UG's homecoming.
