Sorry if this post is a bit long, boring and over sentimental, but it was my birthday on Friday so I thought I`d break my DSI cherry with a few thoughts about Innovation. I`ve been to the buttermarket on a few occasions (mainly Invasion and a couple of POTB) and have always rated it as a venue. Secondly, I havn`t really followed D&B since my Dreamscape days, opting more for house and Techno clubs since the millenium. In fact I havn`t been to a do of this nature since Slammin Vinyl did the closing night at the Sanctuary.

What can I say? Sorry if this sounds like I`m exaggerating, but this has to be in my top ten best nights out ever. This is due me hearing some of the best records I have ever heard (Wasn`t Phantasy just fucking great, I havn`t heard a set from him in 14 years) In fact I can`t remember hearing a shit tune all night. The music was perfect.

Secondly the punters. Thankyou so much to all of you guys, that has to have been one of the safest crowds and best atmospheres I have seen anywhere, let alone the Buttermarket.

Thirdly to my mate Tom Perry (AKA Swell). He used to be good mate of mine but we lost touch over the years. On one of the last occasions he was at mine he expressed an interest in my dex, asked he could have a go, I come back an hour later and this guys so good he could mix water and oil. So four years later he gets back in touch, tells me he`s doing ths thing and before I know it i`m in the Buttermarket watching him literally tear up that back room. Respect to everyone who played the cocktail bar the music in there was just as good as the main room (plus check out the sound up there blinding! Well, deafening at least.

Fourthly and Finally a big thankyou to Bryn for the VIP passes and just in general for making it one of the best birthdays I`ve ever had and one of best raves I have ever been to. Need to get the lasers sorted out for the main room next time (thought there was a couple alreday installed) Still, a very minor gripe for what was for me more or less a perfect night.

Sorry for the overly long and cheesy post but I swear man I`m still fuckin buzzin thinking about it
