The Regent Centre, Newtown: Take in the latest movies in the two screen, Dolby surround sound cinema, which is situated in the town centre in the former Flannel Exchange, which dates back to the 18th Century. The cinema is open seven days a week, with evening performances at 7.30pm, a Saturday afternoon matinee and new weekly listings every Friday night. The Regent Centre is also home to three bars where you can enjoy an after cinema drink. Try The Exchange in the lower part of the building, dance the night away at Crystals Nightclub or visit JR’s, which overlooks the River Severn and is open with Crystals. JR’s can also be hired for private functions and meetings as it has separate bar facilities.
