UTAH SAINTS SOMETHING GOOD 08
Utah Saints Something Good 08 (Van She Tech Remix) is the biggest dance record of 2008 so far. Already receiving heavy daytime plays on Radio 1 from the likes of Jo Whiley, Annie Mac, Chris Moyles, Scott Mills, and more, its also been a staple for the likes of Zane Lowe and Pete Tong, who have made it a Hottest Record In The World and Essential New Tune respectively.

Displaying the crossover traits that made the Utah Saints such a formidable force, Something Good 08, is also picking up huge support at stations ranging from Kiss to XFM, and ILRs across the land. A former No.1 in both the Cool Cuts and Buzz Charts, this release is set to send everyones favourite dance band rocketing back to the top of the UK singles charts.

Having sold over x million records to date, recorded with the likes of REMs Michael Stipe, and performed with U2 and others on mega-stadium tours, Utah Saints remain one of the most trail-blazing outfits within electronic music. Following a self-imposed exile, Tim Garbutt and Jez Willis buried the Utah Saints name in the early Noughties (following unreleased albums and contract oblivion), vowing to return under that guise when the time was right. In the meantime theyve produced and remixed under their Beatvandals moniker, DJed all over the world, and run the highly successful club night, Sugarbeat, in both England and Scotland.

Now ready to take the world by storm once more, Utah Saints are back in 2008, recording new material for a studio album and playing gigs across the UK, with a mix compilation also planned before the year is out.

Something Good 08 (Van She Tech Remix) first saw the light of day last year, following Australias answer to Soulwax, Van Shes, reworking of the Utahs original 1992 Top 5 hit. Now signed to the all-conquering Data Records for a full release, expect it to follow the labels 8 Top 10 hits in 2007.

Remixes come from High Contrast, Ian Carey, Prok & Fitch, eSquire, and Bart B

ELITE FORCE BIOGRAPHY
Simon Shackleton’s Elite Force project began way back in 1996, debuting on his own newly founded Fused and Bruised label with a series of peerless 12s and remixes. After a successful five years,he put Fused and Bruised on the backburner to concentrate on production work, and following several years with Whole9Yards and Moonshine he became a mainstay recording artist for Adrift Recordings (formally known as Kingsize Records) before moving on to set up his own Used & Abused imprint.

Often credited for being a lynchpin in the developing the tech-funk genre (an amalgamation of breaks, house, techno and electro) he has released a series of highly successful singles in the past few years, finding broad support from DJs and musicians across the board, including the likes of James Zabiela, the Plump DJs, Laurent Garnier and Damian Lazarus. In addition to these solo singles, Meat Katie has been a regular collaborator with Elite Force, a relationship that had begun in 2003 with the massive-selling 'Toba'. As a remixer, Elite Force has always been in considerable demand, with re-workings for the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Crystal Method, Jungle Brothers, Stereo MCs, UNKLE, Infusion, Rennie Pilgrem, Shiloh and Dylan Rhymes all contributing to his reputation as one of the most creative and effective remixers around.

Elite Force's music has also been the soundtrack to many a movie, with a huge list of impressive A-list credits to his name, including the likes of the Matrix, Charlie's Angels, Arlington Road, Mortal Kombat, Crow, The Bone Collector, The Jackyll, Spiderman 2 and his music has appeared on a wide array of TV shows, from CSI to Top Gear, from Football Focus to LA Doctors. He's also soundtracked a number of computer games, including no fewer than 5 FIFA games, several of the Wipeout series, The Matrix, and Motorstorm 1, and he is currently writing some bespoke music for the sequel to one of the biggest games of all time......

On the decks, Elite Force has been a prime mover since 1990 when he cut his teeth playing huge student nights and self-promoted acid house nights in the South West of England, before moving up to London and ultimately gravitating towards his tech-funk style, with which he now has a full diary of global bookings and has become known as one of the top technicians on a circuit that has included massive shows in Hungary, Australia, Italy, USA, Czech Republic, India, Turkey, Spain, Japan and China, as well as numerous festival slots including Glastonbury, Coachella and the Glade. His bi-weekly strongarm sessions webcasts have become something of an intraweb institution since their inception back in 2001, and the most recent archives should be your first stop if you've not come across the Force in action before :)
