Music : Progressive House, Tech House, Minimal Techno, Detroit Techno and Funky Techno

While others come and go, Illicit Audio has been flying the flag for quality intelligent music since 2005. Refusing to be labelled under one genre, these 4 London based DJs have been breaking down boundaries while crafting original and unique sounds.

Their signature monthly event at Junk is all about putting the fun back into underground music, creating an outlet for their sound and an event based around the concepts they aspire to, with residents at the helm and frequent big name guests, Illicit Audio has become one of the most talked about events on the south coast

This month it is their 3rd birthday and they welcome it with style with the return of Rebekah who played back with them in March this year and took the roof off.

DJ Rebekah Biography:

In the past 6 months Rebekah has been gaining strength within her music production. February saw the release of her second EP, Freakonomics/Neo on Criminal Records Germany, which gained huge success from DJ’s such as Funk D’Void, Anderson Noise and Oliver Koletzki. From this release she was asked to remix for Jenn on Karateklub, Germany and Lucca on Sound of Acapulco. Both of which are due out in June 2008.

On the DJ front Rebekah has done some amazing parties playing before Matthew Dear for Sven Vaths Cocoon Sound of the Eighth Music tour at the Que Club in Birmingham and heading out for Awakenings playing alongside Gaiser, Tony Rohr and Alexi Delano at Factory 10, Rotterdam. Rebekah attended the WMC playing a rooftop terrace party above the Sony building with Miss Nine taking her sound of tech house and techno to an almost progressive crowd. Alongside these Rebekah has played at Qube in Rome and Frau Marleen in Torre del Lago, impressing the owners so much a bi-monthly residency has been offered.

With the international side of things picking up there was still time to play the UK for In Bed with Space at Sankeys, Eclectricity at the Custard Factory Birmingham and Asuca in Loughbrough. Additionally to this Rebekah has been asked to be an official monthly resident for Lost Souls:Techno Club at Public Life Saturday daytime parties already playing alongside Drumcode’s Perc.

After a stint on the gadget show Rebekah met up with the Pacemaker team trying out the new hand held mixing console and fell in love with the concept straight away. Another brief encounter in Miami at WMC has lead to Rebekah becoming an official ambassador of the Pacemaker. Demo-ing the product at parties, clubs and bbq’s over the summer.

In the next few months Rebekah will be playing at Glitch in Cleethorpes, Dirty Tourism in Manchester, the Ice Factory in Perth, Junk in Southampton, Dlate at Egg, London and tours for Brazil, India and Asia. On the production side of things a new remix on Phobic records is due out in July, the last of the remixes, freeing up time for Rebekah to put a new three track EP together.
