Superfreq are set to return to Junk for this winter edition and as usual the musical artillery is fully loaded with minimal techno beats. The brand returns to Junk after a short break where Mr. C (The Shamen frontman and The End co-director) has spent the summer with Superfreq in Ibiza holding down a weekly residency whilst still hosting their parties in the capital’s highest club Paramount.
For this edition Mr. C has enlisted help from a young man who’s name continues to feature on line ups all over the UK and in Ibiza and who’s productions have caused hysteria on dance floors across the globe, Jamie Jones.
Jamie Jones burst onto the scene a couple of years ago with his debut track “Amazon” which came out on, French techno giant, Dan Ghenacia’s Freak ‘n’ Chic label. The track reached the top spot on beatport and still stands as the label’s highest selling track.
He has since had works on Crosstown Rebels, Poker Flat, Cocoon, and Get Physical receiving rave reviews from DJ and Mixmag for his production skills and his 2008 smash ‘Kaskazi’ with Simon Baker sat in Beatport’s top ten for several weeks and he remains in hot pursuit for his remixing ability.
This year Jamie’s debut LP, 'Don't You Remember the Future,' dropped at the perfect time and propelled him further into the limelight. He has struck with a superb album whilst the iron is red hot – right off the back of his huge, groove-laden anthem ‘Summertime.’
Expect Deep, dark and twisted tech house with the succulent grooves and disco-washed sound that has tinged the Welshman’s dancefloor killing sets over the years.
As Mr. C says “Superfreq is all about serious music but not at all taken seriously” so get ready for a party vibe and amazing music to accompany it.
