To round off a month of amazing Saturdays at Junk throughout April we present a double header of epic proportions!

Fergie (aka Robert Ferguson), a DJ of international standing for the past decade, has never had a stronger and more vibrant aural identity. Playing the kind of music he wants, determined not to be held back by perceptions and tags from the past, he continues to be a global representative for electronic music by consistently breaking down underground barriers and bringing new music to the people, without compromise.

A proven forward thinker, constantly developing and never standing still, the architect of an ever evolving sound by keeping one step ahead of the rest, he has never forgotten though that it's still just a rave. A place where people are trying to escape the realities of urban life each and every weekend, and this weekend that place will be on the Junk dancefloor!

This Saturday also represents a debut for a duo that have been at the forefront of British, and indeed global dance music for nearly twenty years, Glaswegian totems Slam.

Slam have played all around the world, championing UK underground electronic music wherever they go, yet they've always retained their home base in Glasgow, where they have helped to develop and influence one of the best music and party cities anywhere on the planet.

Slam have an enduring passion for dance music, and their label, Soma Records, is another example of their dedication to the cause. Soma's artists - such as Alex Smoke, Vector Lovers, the Black Dog and Funk D Void - help to make the label one of the most forward-thinking around. Soma was also the first to put Daft Punk’s ‘Da Funk’ out in Britain, signifying probably the biggest A&R masterstroke of the 90s.
