Hot off the heels of the Runaground 12hr Sobar terrace party, High Tide returns to sea for our final gig of the summer. Presiding over the dance floor we have two of the most in demand DJs on the planet. Nic Fanciulli will be celebrating his birthday with us, and High Tide’s own James Zabiela returns for his second appearance of the year.
2008 has been a busy year for James. Off the back of last year’s One+One tour, and being voted Best British DJ in DJ Mag’s 2007 awards poll, he’s repeatedly featured on the bill at many of the globe’s biggest clubs and festivals, racking up the air miles as he continues to set the standard for technical wizardry on the scene. With a Glastonbury Essential mix and a Space Residency already under the belt this year, there’s no doubt that our James will have something a bit special lined up for the home fans.
Nic has earned his glowing reputation through a combination of dance floor savvy and hard graft. Admirers site his uncanny ability to read a crowd as the key to his talent as a DJ, but Nic also has other strings to his bow. He’s a Grammy nominated producer as half of Skylark, and promotes his own “Atomic” night at London’s The End. Like James, Nic is also one of the new breed of young British DJs taking house music global. A familiar face to High Tide, we’re honoured that Nic has chosen to spend his birthday with us.
Joining James and Nic to complete the line up on the top deck are Rhino’s “Summer of Love” residents, Gary Bennetton and Dan Reid.
High Tide goes deeper on the lower deck, featuring Urbantorque’s Leigh Morgan, Lloyd & Faz (Nocturnal) and Cluffy, providing a laidback, melodic and groovy blend of electronica and deep house to compliment the full on mayhem taking place upstairs.
This will be your last chance to get out the shades and board the Ocean Scene for summer madness, before we head off for the twilight zone to prepare for Halloween. We look forward to seeing all you lovely people there!
