High Tide Boat Party
Bank Holiday Sunday 4th May 2008

2pm – 7.30pm (Boarding between 2-3pm)

The second of our summer parties sees the return of High Tide’s favourite odd couple. To seasoned passengers this pairing needs no introduction as it’s their fifth voyage as a dj duo. For those of you still wet behind the ear, we’re talking messers Lee Burridge and James Zabiela.

Individually, Lee and James rank heavyweight among the dj community (they are a constant in the dj Mag top 100 poll of recent years). Bring them together and they’re a force to be reckoned with. Both these guys have mileage as a part of a successful partnership; Lee set the standard for the Naughties teaming up with Craig Richards as “Tyrant”, and more recently James has been navigating the globe with Nic Fanciulli on their One + One tour.

It’s no surprise that when these lads are let loose on our floating decks, what transpires tends to go down in the annals of High Tide’s history as the craziest party of any given year. What makes it so special is that both Lee and James share a passion for house that sets them apart from the norm. It’s reflected in their buoyancy behind our ones and twos, and the energy that they generate on our dance floor as they go about the business of letting us ‘ave it. Believe when I say this will be off the chain!

Downstairs we go deeper once more, with a special appearance from Freerange Records’ dj/producer, Matt Masters. Matt joined the label on work experience in 2004, and since then has established himself alongside the likes of Jimpster, Hipp-E and Mike Monday to name a few. He’s held residencies in Ibiza (Kinky Malinki / Pukka Up) and at the Freerange label parties in London, as well as hosting their monthly podcast. Matt’s got production work under his belt, both as himself and under the alias MidiDropMusic.

Matt will be joining our stalwart resident, Dan Reid, and Stu Clark to take us on a journey through the spaced out to the deliciously deep side of house music.

We’re praying that the weather will be as good as the line up for this party. I know you’re all dying to get the Ray-Bans and boardies out to welcome in the summer. So fingers crossed for a bit of sunshine and we’ll see you at “The Lee & James Show V”
