We’re back once again with our first bank holiday boat party of 2009, and yes we fully intend to remain “the best bloody rave up on our choppy seas” (DJ Mag).
On board for our maiden voyage we have all your High Tide favourites alongside an exceptional headline guest – WeLoveSundays (Space, Ibiza) resident PAUL WOOLFORD.
Paul grew up in Leeds where his passion for dance music and talent behind the decks earned him a regular slot at Dave Beer’s legendary Back To Basics night. Regularly tipped for the top by all manner of leading DJs, Paul has continued his ascendancy with a string of top productions including a High Tide favourite, Erotic Discourse (as Bobby Peru). 2008 saw him release his first album entitled “The Truth” (20:20 Vision) and mix the “We Love Space” compilation CD. As a weekly Space resident he’s rocked the crowds at the world’s favourite club; don’t miss this opportunity to see him making waves in the Solent this Easter!
On the line up with Paul is Southampton based DJ/producer Tom Budden. Tom has been a favourite of the High Tide faithful for many years, and is rapidly gaining recognition as one to watch for the future. With the launch of his “Alive” record label in 2008, Tom has caught the ear of Carl Cox, Danny Howells and John Digweed, all of whom are supporting his production work. As a DJ he’s featured on the line-ups for Cocoon, Familia, and the launch of James Zabiela’s new Positronic night @ London’s hottest superclub, Matter.
Our resident sea dogs, Dan Reid and Gary Bennetton complete the bill on the upper deck, while down below we go deep with MidiDropMusic (Matt Masters & Mr Cenzo) and Peircey. MidiDropMusic are residents at the Freerange Records London parties, while Peircey will be known to many of you as a regular at Southampton’s “Boxed” and “Carry On” nights.
If you’ve never been to a High Tide event then put this one in your diary, we welcome you on board. Seasoned passengers, I’m sure you’ll already be counting the days.
