some 20 months ago i suggested the possibility of changing the thursday night session at churchills

back then it had been very busy (over capacity) and taken decent money

however - the resurgence of talk's thursday, coupled with the openings of varsity and mayhem lead me to believe that the crowd that were in there would end up being split in four- and sadly, as time went on, i was proven to be correct

being aware (as someone who enjoys house myself) that there was nowhere to go on the mid-week and listen to funky / electro / minimal / techy house i put together a proposal for a new-look thurs

due to much (and i mean MUCH) plc bullshit it took months and months to get the idea finally green-lit and we launched to a great crowd (400) on thurs 29th july 2006 with russell caten guesting

give or take a day - that means that thur 28th july is the one year anniversary (birthday) of the session

thursday is not the easiest day to get people out on, especially when you are catering for a specialist crowd - but, with the exception of a handful of nights, we have managed to do really well over the past 12 months
