On 6.6.08 Concept celebrates the start of the good old British summer with very special evening when we present ''The Big Summer Bash pt1'', undoubtably the best hard dance event EVER in Southend when we welcome, for the first time in Southend and for their first live show of 2008-OD404 playing LIVE, on stage in The Royal Ballroom. Accompaning them will be Mixmags Future Hero-Olly Perris and Steve Maynard-Twist(Londons #1 Afterparty) and Concept resident.

OD404 is the Brighton based UK Hard House / Hard Trance & NRG producing duo consisting of Superfast Oz & Dom Sweeten. They have been instrumental in the early days of UK Hard House / Nu NRG and have since domineered the scene with some of the biggest tracks and remixes in the history of Hard Dance(9Bar anyone??). Classic productions on every label that matters in the scene have catapulted them to legend status where they are continually astounding their fans.

When they are not producing together, solo, with other budding producers on various projects, running Kaktai Records or doing the odd exclusive OD404 Live PA, Oz keeps himself extremely busy on the top DJ lineups all over the globe whilst Dom ... well, no one really knows where he is kept under lock and chain. Studio 404 perhaps ?
OD404 are presently only playing few other live performances this year including events such as Global Gathering, Polysexual @ Air and Hard South @ The Honey Club, make sure you dont miss them for their first time ever in Southend.

Olly Perris is a 26 year old hard house producer & DJ from Southampton, UK. During his production career, Olly and his production partner Ashley Sinclair have achieved an incredible amount. Their debut single "The Venue" was produced entirely over the internet, setting the trend for other producers to follow. It was released on Nukleuz Blue in December 2002, and has gone on to sell almost 6,000 copies.
Olly's production career has flourished ever since this, having 6 other releases on Nukleuz, and a handful on Alphamagic Ltd with Alf Bamford, another young, upcoming hard house starlet. Olly is also label manager for Addiction Digital, the UK's number 1 digital UK hard trance label. In total, Olly has sold over 50,000 records, appeared on a UK Top 40 single and DJ'ed all across the UK as well as Ibiza and Australia.
In addition to this, Olly has appeared in interviews and features with DJ Magazine, Harderfaster, Tidy.com, Nukleuz.com and Trackitdown, and, along with Ashley, have been quoted as being "...leaders of the nu skool in hard house production..."

Steve first fell in love with Hard House at Tidy Weekender 2 and taught himself how to mix soon after. A year later he played his first London gig at The Purple Turtle. After that he quickly had the attention of Will Patterson, Frantic promoter and gained regular Frantic slots at Hard House Academy, Timeless and MORE. It was at the time that he picked up residencies for London's number 1 afterparty, Twist and Byte at The Purple Turtle.
Since then he has played at some of Londons most respected nights including SNAT, Insekt, Heat, Bedlam, Terminal and Summit. The summer of 2006 saw him return from Brazil after playing 4 gigs over 10 days.

You can also expect to see the other Concept residents Nose, Jubbly, Dean Foster and Wez Hull playing you the best cutting edge hard dance found anywhere in the South East.
As usual we'll be decorating the Ballroom with unique Concept style including inflatables and U.V backdrops which we change each month to keep the event fresh and different every time.
We will also be welcoming LASERTRONICS providing an un-rivalled multi-colour laser show, using anything upto 4 or 5 different lasers, the likes of which havent been seen as yet in the ballroom.
