No idea, Credit crunch has hit and Royals is now closed but for how long who knows...?

Gutted that royal has now closed, spells the end of Southend as a clubbing destination!! Nowhere else goos to go out!!

I dont think it's going to be closed forever, i think they just need a break cos Jan-Feb is such a skint month for clubbers.

I think the Royal is a very sucessful club, would be a terrible shame if it did close for good

I think its under new management and they are giving it a refurb! Not too sure though I hope its not forever its the only place I love in Southend and London is far to expensive!! Im sure it will be back! x

The royal is closed until further notice guys as the present landlord has vacated the premises,leaving no-one there to run it. The future for the royal is uncertain and is probably up for sale already-who will buy it no-one knows.

Even when it does get taken over, its probably gonna be unlikely that its ran as an underground venue-shame coz it was one of the best in the southeast.

they would be far better keeping it as underground venue tho, there's too many other commercial clubs to compet with in Southend, with big budgets & nice interiors - they cant really 'do up' the Royal because it's listed

R.I.P to all those loyal to the royal Ive 9 loving never forgetting memories.You Know who u r hehe.
