Wild In The Country Q & A with Therapy's Dave Seaman!

This article is about Wild In The Country @ Knebworth House in Stevenage (UK), Sat 05 Jul 2008

What can festival-goers expect from your performance?
I will be attempting to discreetly segue from one CD to the next for somewhere in the region of about 2 hours whilst simultaneously creating an atmosphere of hedonistic euphoria on the dancefloor and all this, I might add, without the aid of a safety net!! Tell your friends.

Are you hardcore enough to last the full 18 hours?
No bloody chance. I'm not hardcore enough to last 18 minutes.
Just ask my wife! I thought only Danny Tenaglia and Sting could last 18 hours?

What are you looking forward to most at this year's festival?
I’m really looking forward to seeing The Foals. I love the album. One of my favourites this year. Same goes for the Hercules & love Affair. That just keeps getting better and better.

What would be your ideal festival line-up?
A very short one with a clean toilet at the end of it.

What other acts are you most looking forward to seeing?
Well I've never seen Bjork live before, so obviously I'll be interested to see that. I'll definitely be trying to catch Soulwax too as I'm a big admirer of what they do. DJ wise it's been a long time since I've seen Danny Tenaglia and am looking forward to hearing Carl Craig too.

How do you prepare for a festival performance?
I only eat raw eggs with Marmite for around 2 weeks before and then I like to be left alone in a darkened room with only my lucky festival pants and video's of Woodstock for company for the last 3 days prior. I find a little dress rehersal to help too. Highly recommended.

Will you be supping tea at the twisted tea rooms?
Ooh yes please. I do like a twisted tea. A strong mushroomy colour for me with 2 sugars!

What is the strangest thing you have seen at a festival?
Ask me again after I've been to the Twisted Tea Rooms!
