For the attention of the GG organisers:
Just a few questions:

1) Why are you not allowing people to bring food in with them?

2) Why are you limiting the amount of water that people are allowed to bring in and why have you stated that 1litre is allowed in the "info" area and then in the "FAQ" area on your website you then state that 2 litres is permitted?

Please can you answer these questions for me otherwise my friends and I will not be going.

Thank you

Soaps

yeah man total lack of organisation from global i think!! toilets were rank in the yellow campsite and only had 2 actual working ones!!! and i was amazed at how they could justify that a baguette/hotdog was worth a fiver!!!!
And my biggest moan is that i walked away from prodigy coz i could have a conversation with the person next to me like i was in the library!!!! and i was practically in the middle!! I expect to go to see prodigy and get my head blown off by the rig!!! There were 5 thousand other prople chanting 'turn it up' so i wasnt the only one!!!

because people will pay it.

i thought Global this year was spot on, the gods tent sound system and boom box were excellent.

was totally amazed to arrive at 4pm with no queue to get in.

bars took longer less than 5 minutes to get served or not having to wait at all

DJ's Set times and and music awesome.

3 hours to get off site but that was my fault for leaving at peak time. ha ha

No it's not, there is an edge to space but it is expanding at a faster rate than we can travel there.

But surely if the universe is ever expanding at a rate we cannot catch, that would make it infinite?? It not having an end an all....

Anyway, sorry to go back to that, and sorry Prodigy were crap they were the only reason I was gonna go so Im glad I stayed home. I saw them at Wembley a coupla months ago and they smacked it, sound was amazing and Keith owned the stage, if you get a chance see them on tour.

Strange? We arrived just before 2pm and didn't get in until 7.30-8pm.

I have a photo that i took at 16.16 and you cant see the entrance through the thousands and thousands of pissed off festivalgoers in the totally unorganised queue, who at around 4pm we're booing, banging on the fence and chanting "let us in".

These festivalgoers who spent over 5 hours dragging their belongings through piss will also be 'totally amazed' to hear this.

Especially when you limit the amount of food people can bring in

Do you work for Global or something? The que was fucking stupid, exactly the same as 2 years ago, if you got there at 4pm there 100% was a huge que, unless you pikeyed your way to the front!

The que was the worst part of the weekend, the rest was awesome, we all had a wicked time!

yeah, I thought most of it was spot on, great atmosphere, great weather (it even cooled down for the journey home excellent!), no real complaints, couple of minor gripes:

- queue to get in - fucking rediculous, we arrived at 1, queued till 530, every year its similar (2007 and this year the worst), why dont you just marshal the queue and stop people pushing in the sides, this would speed up the process as thats whats slowing it down, also if you try to check everyones bag its OBVIOUSLEY going to take hours to get 20,000 people in. I know that makes it safer but i dont expect to get to an event 4 hours before it starts and then miss the first 2 hours.

- lack of shade on the campsite, we were told there would be shaded areas, but there werent, with it being so hot on the saturday daytime and after not being allowed to bring gazeebos (didnt bring it because i was told they werent allowed) a lot of our lot got badly sunburnt and a couple were seriously ill with sustroke.

- no showers, what was up with that? we specifically asked if there would be showers, were told "dont be stupid of course there will be" and obviousley there werent.

other that that, top event :)

ha ha, no not at all. and i dont push in. maybe i went through the VIP entrance and the ticket checker didnt realise.

still if thats the case they really need to sort out there entry system, you dont get queues like that at trance energy. the organisation for that event was second to none.

Agreed! GG organisers need to go to a Dutch festival and see how well organised they are......i still dont know how u got in without queing though. It got stupid with people pushing in and not having any kind of system in place till u get to the front to give your ticket in - madness!

Exactly how we felt. Absolutely shameful making everyone queue that long - we got there at 12 and didn't get in 'til 5:30. To be fair though, it was probably the fucktard police, rather than Global, who caused it. They soon packed in searching every single bag when they realised they might cause I riot!

I thought it was great this year, we arrived at 3.30pm on the saturday and no queue. Bar organisation was second to none with the guys at the front telling you which person serving to go to. Apart from some bars running out which was mainly in the arenas. no rain, free water. even the security were filling up cups of water and giving it out to people at the front of the tents. well in the GK that was the case where i spent 90% of the evening.

some things i dont like at Dutch festivals are them drink tokens you buy and come out with 30€'s worth of them in your pocket! still you have to queue at the bar! Also the beer you get is a squirt in a cup full of froff if its not a bottle.

only complaint about GG was the dirty toilets!
