Also the fact that Mr Arnold lied to me twice about there being showers quite frankly fucked me right off

yeah that was shit, its like Global took a few steps back in terms of facilities and quesing this year

my first global (dont ask), enjoyed coach that dropped us off @ 2:15 and we only q'd for half hour!!! now that was amazing, my only thought was that it was really really spread out but can see y you'd need that but it did seem odd that gods tent was stuck on its own being the main one?? 2 smaller ones would'v worked better in that area maybe?? also maybe mingle the foodie outlets abit more, some near every tent, everything shut down really efficiently but would ask why the long (over half hour it took) walk out? couldnt more gates be opened around the arena closer to coaches etc?? all said - ace fun, loved it, back next year!!!

Seems like the organisers are out to make as much money as possible and made a half hearted effort with the actual festival...massive queues, rubbish sound system, not allowed to bring food/drink in, no showers...

if they can't manage to organise a queuing system that works they should at least let people set up camp on the thursday so people don't end up missing DJs they've paid to see.

Also, you need to put people like Armin van Buuren/Above and Beyond on the MAIN STAGE

terrible shout... main stage is for the more commercial dance followers imo... as djs are more likely to play a commercial set. You lose the atmosphere that you have in the tent and the sound system isnt as good.

As for Global, i prob will be going next year. However Creamfields ripped it to shreds this year tbh. Much better organised, less hassle etc. For me Armins set saved Global as it was prob the best set of the summer for me (even though sander at creamfields was immense too).

Think you know what you need to do to make Global better next year. Basically do everything you did in 2008!!! Lineup was missing some massive names this year!!! and showers queues etc...

Yep.

I'll be there if:
1) There are queues of less than 30 minutes
2) There is no "stick all the electro/rave acts on Friday" attitude
3) Somebody blows up the Isle of Wight so Bestival doesn't happen - cos quite frankly it pisses all over Global (and the other commercial, money-grabbing, investors-first-punters-second festivals)

im seriously considering doing nature one in germany as my summer fest instead of global (altho i had a great time this year)...can do flights and tickets for the same price as a VIP global ticket. apparently theres no problems with sound etc and the lineups are always crackin!

I will probably go for the reason that it is the 10th anniversary and maybe they will throw a bit more money at it this year & do something more special. Whatever they do come up with though PLEASE STOP TURNING THE SOUND SYSTEMS DOWN EARLY & USE SOME FRICKIN LASERS IN THE GODSKITCHEN ARENA.

Was thinking of doing this with a few mates as well, especially after the 5 hour queue at last years Global which was an absolute disgrace
