Global 08 was far better than 07.
Global 08 is miles apart from 07 on so many diffrent levels, not only for the weather but for the atmosphere and croud of people that topped it. Not only did I go there with an amazing croud of people, but also met a few amazing people.
The friday night didn't get to see too many artists, Amber D, Anne Savage & Kanye West. The 3 being outside and they were really amazing and totally overwhelmed me. I was really looking forward to tiesto, but while waiting for him to come on, my legs just gave in and I was exhausted after being up for 48hours, had I have gone to see him and just sat down or just stood there I think I would have been really upset that I couldn't get stomping.
Saturday night was like no other, after spending the day in the campsite resting up & getting back in the spirit. Watching the air show, which was also superb, how they have the guts to actually do some of the stuff, like the planes going upside down, really amazes me and I have a lot of respect for them.
Sander Van Doorn played a blinder and really got me buzzing for the night. After missing Lashes twice this year, I was not in the slightest bit dissapointed in her set, it was spot on. Didn't get to see much of Armin Van Buuren, started to feel a bit wrecked by then, but from what I do remember the atmosphere in the gods tent was out of this world [well it was like that everytime I went in there]
David Guetta, after seeing him at Creams 15th birthday, I didn't think he could top a night like that, but he did and some. Unfortunately for me though I just couldn't get in to stomping, but the tunes were just banging, as always Love Is Gone got the croud going mad.
I didn't go in the arena for Tidy Boys as the lights were just far too much for me to handle, but sitting outside, listening and watching the croud go mad, really made it something special, my mate told me after that it was the best set she had heard and she's heard quite a few of theres. I stayed outside for Andy Whitby too, though I don't remember much from that as I was quite wrecked and tirdness again was kicking in.
Markus Schulz set seemed to be the one lasting the longest, it just seemed like I was in the Gods arena forever, waiting for The Judge. By this point I was well and truly shagged, so just sat near the back by the speakers, eating some bananas to give me energy, after missing Tiesto the night before there was no chance I was missing Judge Jules. As soon as he came on though, I was buzzing, I got a burst of energy from nowhere [well probably the bananas I'd been eating lol] and I just got stomping, his set was the best way to end such a fantastic weekend, there aren't any words to describe how good it was, the only thing was, after Markus Schulz set seeming to last forever, the hour that the Judge was on for seemed to go so quickly, I didn;t want it to end. When he said that Tainted Love was the last tune I was really gutted, but for the last tune it really was special, especially the way he stopped it half way through to make you think that it was all over, only to slam it back on.
Next years is going to have to have something pulled out of the bag to top this years.
My only comlaint of this year, apart from the usual toilets being a disgrace and expensive drinks [but then it's a festival you expect it] I just found the walk from the main gates to the campsite really tiring, especially in the heat and on Sunday walking back with my camping stuff, the walk nearly killed me, it really felt like I was walking through the dessert.

I saw her here back in March, she replaced Lashes at the local Hard House night after Lashes cancelled and that was the first time for me to see her. I loved it and had to see her at global, but [I know I shouldn't say this but fuck it] there's nothing better than coming up off MDMA to a cracking set and that was Amber D on Friday night !!

Roll on next year, but like I said, something has to be pulled out of the bag to top it. I am surprised I wrote such a long review, it's hard to actually put in to words how amazing this weekend actually was

I have never laughed so much

Totally agree, the things some people with mashed heads come out with, my mate actually kept forgetting everyones names and some poor lad we met, must have gone home with about 30 diffrent names. She even called one of our mates Shannon, it wouldn't have been so bad, except he is a lad !! I still keep bursting out laughing at some of the random stuff that happened.

dont get me started. I had people walking past my tent talking about feeding chickens and allsorts. fucking love the weird trip out moments you always seem to remember the really fucked up bits aswell. ive had a m8 in the gods tent thinking his glowstick wos a tv remote, another m8 thought he wos at work, fucking so funny.

My mate thought she was at home and that she walked through a tent and it was her conservatory and the little circle in the middle of all out tents where we were sitting in the day was a dining room, fucking quality.
I love being in that state, but I love watching people in that state more :p
