Oi oi all the Escape Crew, got some massive news for you all!!

After months of hard work we can finally reveal to you whats going on at Escape HQ and confirm the rumours that are buzzin around, and also quash the rumous that Escape is "Closing Down" !!!!

To cut a long story short, we all wanted to take Escape and Escape Gets Filthy to another level... we have already got the residents, and the loyal and crazy crowd, so we are moving Venue!

We will now take home on The Kingsway (Jumpin Jaks) its absolutely massive in there and its having the whole makeover treatment!

The First Escape Gets Filthy in the new venue is May 9th - Stay Tuned for my mammoth of a lineup!!

It’s the end of an era. After 14 fantastic years, Wales’ premier superclub “Escape” is to close it’s doors on Northampton Lane in Swansea. The face of clubbing in Wales changed overnight on Saturday July 8th 1995, with the biggest name in dance music Pete Tong launching what would become one of the most successful dance music venues ever. The award winning team behind the name and the rocket have consistently brought the very best DJs & artists from all over the world to Swansea. But it is now time for Escape to evolve. Yes, Escape is on the move. The former “Jumpin’ Jaks” building is about to be transformed into Dance Heaven, with a massive 60 kilowatts of Thunderidge” sound system in the main room, complemented by a state-of-the-art lighting rig; the first of its kind in the UK. Video walls and laser lights will add to the experience, and a world class line-up will ensure that Escape is at the forefront of the dance music scene.

It’s Escape as you know it, only bigger and better!


Therefore, this means that "One Awsum Escape" on April 18th will be the last night at Escape... so lets all give it the send off it deserves, for being Wales No1 superclub for 14 years!!

oooo 11yrs of going to escape is gna be hard saying goodbye to that original birth place. look forward to the new venue. hope it doesnt give the true escape atmosphere up. one AWsum escape ere we go!!!!!

hope there idea of the makeover for the new building isnt like the makeovers they had at escape lol!!!!,,hope its the beginning of somerting special..the new generation of clubbers memories will start right here and i hope they are as dear to them as mine are of the 'old' escape, wont be able to make it for any of the closing or opening shananigans i dont think but never say never..u must be chuffed robbo this is huge for swansea :) good luck xxxx

As i said on facebook guys, we need your support on this one. Of course, leaving Northampton Lane is going to emotional for MANY of us, Ive been going there 10 years and Im gna miss it like crazy!

But with the right lineups, a much CLEANER + SMARTER VENUE on the Kingsway, and YOUR SUPPORT im sure we can make the new Escape into something even beter! Some of you complain that Escape is a shithole, its dirty etc well now is our chance to rock just as hard but in a nicer environment!

Im not leing when i tell u ive spent weeks putting together our Escape Gets Filthy Launch Party for May 9th 2009 and its one of the biggest Hard Dance lineups Swansea has ever seen!!

But first in our sights is the closing party... April 18th 2009 will be the last ever event at Escape so help us leave in style!
