First of all Rob, are you looking forward to your return to Escape Gets Gilthy this Saturday? What did you think of the event last time you played??

I loved it! Escape has always been such a great place to play. The crowd in Wales are awesome. I can't wait for Saturday night. I have loads of great new material as i've just done a live mix which was recorded at last week's Tidy Magna Event. I always like to play a good blend of new material alongside some revamped classics. I use ableton in the studio so I spend all week reworking other artist's tracks so that my sets have a unique feel to them.

Sounds wicked Rob! So where was the first gig you ever played and how did it go?
It was in a bar where all the ravers used to go before setting off to the warehouse parties back in 89. It must've gone quite well because within 6 months i was lucky enough to be DJ'ing at some of those parties. At the height of the illeagal party scene we were playing to 10,000 people!! They were amazing times!!

Woah!! So what has been the highlight of your massive career so far??
Playing at the Love Parade in Leeds in 2001 was really special. I got to DJ in front of 250,000 of my closest friends :o)

Crikey you have 250,000 friends! Haha! What producers are doing it for you at the moment in the thriving hard dance scene?

Mda & Spherical are doing some amazing stuff at the moment. BK is, and always will be a legend too!

Agreed! What projects are you currently working on? Ive heard something on the grapevine about Rob Tissera Live! What does this entail?

Rob T Live is all about me performing all my tracks from the past and present as well as lots of bootlegs i've made. I perform it all on Ableton live and 3 CDJs. I have my trusty singer Ailsa on vocals and i also have Nathan Damour playing live keyboards. We also have two of the most gorgeous dancers and loads of visuals on dvd. It's great fun but a bit nerve wracking but so far, touch wood... It's all gone smoothly.
