REBIRTH...The Summer Gathering 2006 @ Worthy Farm in Taunton (UK)

REBIRTH THE SUMMER GATHERING 2006

KironB	rebirth the summer gathering two double o six Right then, to start off the night i strolled around Glastonbury Town for a couple drinks, before i made my way to Godney. Me and SkillzyG started to walk through the lanes when a land rover stopped and gave us a lift. Thanks to Katie-Pie and DaveyBoy06 :) We then Got to Godney farm by about 5:30, so we sat down untill the que started to build up, then me and SkilzyG whent in to the venue first, thats the advantage of V.I.P :) Because we had got there early there was not many people. We was standing near a bin and realised a notice saying that Skibadee cannot make it, so Shabba will be attending instead. At first i was gutted but then realised it wasnt bad, it was good :) After a couple hours the barn was rammo which made a good atmosphere. I went to check out the V.I.P arena to get my free glass of champers which tasted like White Lightening (sorry, but it`s true). When Chase and Status turned up the crowd blew the roof off, if i remember rightly they were long side MC Moonie. and MC Carasel I was on stage taking photos then i saw MC Shabba D geting up on to the stage with Nicky Blackmarket Then i knew it was all about to start! Shortly after, MC Fearless turned up, who also blew the roof off. Nicky Blackmarket Played some Banging tunes as usuall, and as you all will know shabba and Fearless rinsed the mic non stop, the crowd were going mental. By this time i had worked a thirst, so i went to get myself a drink, and was dissapointed to find out thet were only selling Castlemain XXXX and WKD. I Then went in to the V.I.P to see tommi kane with MC Speech Where i got passed the mic. so i had a go on that which was a mental experience, cheers speech. One problem i was concerned about was the ammount of children there, not a good idea, kids and raves dont mix. Maybe next year should be OVER 18`s, for the childrens safety? Pendulum played a mad set, also did Friction, Friction`s set was along side MC Herbzie an MC Eksman. They blasted out thier single `Na Blood` that i was not expecting, but it mad the night so much better to hear some different tunes for once, pendulums set was basically the same as last year! In the hip hop tent the atmosphere was horrible there was so much attitude, probably because Klashnekoff didnt turn up. So i left that tent afer about two minuites of being in there! Then all of a sudden ther was a power cut for about five minuites, that sent the cowd mad, the whole rave was suddenly black, i couldnt see anything, the lights turned back on soon after that.which was lucky. One of the main highlights of the night was Laid blak & Interface Exclusive PA featuring the jungle legend JOE PENG they played a exellent set, seeing JOE PENG live is a whole new experience, you have to see her live! Then i was going to go to the after party but unfortunately i had a bad back ache, so me and SkillzyG got a lift home. Thanks to DJ Fuze for a great night. Kironb CHECK THIS LINK FOR PHOTOS LINK On the whole it was a mad night. i met loads of friendly people, i had an absaloutly brilliant time its something you have to do. Next year will be mad. you have
